not a disbelief.
a lack of belief.
There's a huge difference.

Yep, there is definitely a difference between disbelief and non belief...I get them confused. whatever you want I guess...

>When are you guyz gonna realize that scripture has all the angles covered?

Scripture doesn't - but 2000 years of apologists do. There is now a justification for everything in the Bible, a rationalization for all the errors and contradictions, a rationale for ignoring the parts that don't apply any more.

I'm not sure why believers just don't get that

Perhaps you just don't understand the intent of posting such verses...here's a clue, don't be so narcissistic.

irony - if you are just posting to comfort yourself

If you want to affect others, you have to speak "to them" and to their perspective, not just from yourself.

there is only one way to interpret the Bible

Nonsense, if only on linguistic objections at a minimum. As someone who speaks multiple languages I can say for a fact that some words/phrases just don't translate and meaning is totally lost in translation.

*IF* your bible were true, why would it be any different.

there is only one way to interpret the Bible...the one where there are no contradictions nor errors. That's the challenge.

No, it's easy.

"The Bible is a just collection of neolithic myths distorted by the passage of time" satisfies the requirement perfectly.

Which 'bible'????

The original...

You read Hebrew, Aramaic, and ancient Greek?

I'm impressed.

as I said, it's a challenge...

Edit:
It even goes further...one even has to understand the historical, cultural and circumstantial context

. . . yours.

Which is fine - for you. But much better Biblical scholars than you disagree on your interpretation. (And they disagree both with you and each other.) Indeed, wars have been fought over such interpretations.

>the one where there are no contradictions nor errors.

So do you believe Genesis 1 or 2, then?

There are no original manuscripts.

Are you familiar with tedious process of Jewish textual transmission?

Besides, one doesn't even have to read the whole of scripture to have spiritual life, and that which we have has been proven to work for us.

Very familiar. The earliest MTs we have are from ~1000 CE and they have known errors in them.

They are, however, much more consistent than the New Testament Manuscripts. Is the story of the woman caught in adultery authoritative (John 7:53-8:11 or thereabouts)? Is the longer ending of Mark authoritative (16:8-16). Neither one of the are in the oldest manuscripts.

Ah, I think I see something you may be misunderstanding here . . .

I'm just saying that the translations we have today are not the infallible word of God.
