Most Christians accept evolution

Has anyone else notice how this new JackC1 seems to follow right behind Jakke similar to how JackC used to back in the day? Even all of their styles have striking similarities...It's uncanny. I bet JackC1 is even from the UK as well...

...It's all kinda of creepy if you ask me, unless of course they're all just sockpuppets designed to validate eachother's posts.

You got it, we're all from the same family tag-teaming internet forums on politics and religion and dad was particularly unimaginative when it came to names. Kinda like Major Major Major Major in Catch22, but three kids with one name instead of one with three.
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Carnal is an acceptable term to use in Christian testimony.

Before salvation the soul is oriented to the flesh. After receiving the Holy Spirit the soul begins the journey of the spirit home.

Once started, God will complete the journey to perfection.
Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

In my experience, people who claim to be spiritual but not religious are actually atheists who are unwilling to come right out and admit it on account of the social unacceptability of atheism in the USA.

So what? we're probably both right in some cases. Individuals tends to have individual reasons for their own beliefs and that's how it should be.

I know a lot of people who say that they are spiritual but not religious, and I'm pretty sure that most of them are not atheists. I think most of them believe in some sort of god or "higher power," but they don't relate to or adhere to a religion. But that's just my experience . . .

OK, you beat me to it

I also know guys that pretend to be this to get into the pants of girls that claim that position. Seems to be the best rationale so far.....

I don't know where you are living but in the southern US atheists are treated like lepers.

I suspect that there may be regional trends. As well as extreme reactions to people that are very in your face regardless of where they are.

I'm in the upper midwest, and except for the fanatics (political usually...., not religious - except for the elderly) - most of time we mind our own business and just take our neighbors one at a time based on how they behave. At least in my circle. I don't really bother with people that make an assessment with only superficial data.

If that were true (and it isn't) then political candidates of all parties would be claiming to be atheists. They aren't. Guys on internet dating sites would be claiming to be atheists. They aren't.

I see..... you think only women are ignorant and worship make-believe fairies. Men just want to get dates.

Your insight really is helping me understand more about gender problems. I never ever thought that women were that scattered brained. It's still hard to accept that but, with your example, I'll try harder.

As for men - I always knew we'd do whatever necessary to find the right gal. So no surprise there.

The bigger cities are not bad, reactions vary. But the smaller towns are really bad. People have been essentially run out of town.

Big deal...

we've worked hard to build a safe haven where we won't be killed for our beliefs and we'd like to keep it that way...

didn't justify anything...

What goes around comes around I guess...I don't like it anymore than you do.

Another attempt at rationalizing bad behavior.

Just because you can't recognize what you are doing doesn't mean you aren't doing it.

BTW, The Christian persecution wasn't done by atheists. The Jews and Romans believed in God and gods respectively.
