Mission accomplished!
However, I am unsure what that buys you.
I'm surprised...you of all people should know...

Yep, so far, it's been by far and away mostly hate and derogatories with just so very few acts of decent discussion.
Enough about Ron, what about the people he's talking about?

Thank you for your learned response. I know by your articulation you have several IQ points over me. I have only been estimated as two standard deviations from the mean. I am not sure what that means.
IQ = 70 is 2 standard devs. from the mean.
In the old days, "moron" was applied to people with an IQ of 51-70
Hmmm, I understand that.
Do you think it is possible for a "moron" to obtain a graduate degree from an accredited state university?

Al Gore is proof that an imbicile can graduate from Harvard, and G. W. Bush proves they'll give an M.B.A. to an idiot.
Likewise, I have been stunned by the dunderheads that pulled off Ph.D.s from supposedly reputable institutions.
Needless to say, I.Q. distributions vary wildly by discipline - there is a HUGE difference between people getting degrees to teach math and people becoming degreed Mathematicians, for example.
Thus, an impressive sheepskin does not rule out a profound lack of intellectual acuity - though it does make it a lot less likely.

And neither do you. You seem bitter and insecure (and maybe even scared) to me, clinging on to some mantras and some claims about yourself. Claims that don't show in your posts.

Well, to be fair, Muslims don't count - so there's no need for kindness, goodness, gentleness, or self-control in that scenario. Ron has made that abundantly clear.

I'll admit, I have a bit of problem with the ones that have vowed to kill me, my family and destroy my country.
I'm just trying to establish a safe family enclave in the mountains.
I believe Skyrad is a Muslim and seems to be a decent person. Back in the late 80's I jumped with a Muslim, Ali Karbaliasghar. He was an Iranian that fought against the Iraqi's. He seemed real friendly.

Agreed. And there are some Christians who are pretty good people as well.

There are portions of the texts that are accurate, some that are wildly inaccurate, many that are heavily editecan't you get it? The Truth of God has survived all of the translations, re-translation, copying, re-copying, editing, re-editing, cultures and languages, erroneous scientific backgrounds. What we have works for those who can hear Gods call. It is a spiritual book with powerful spiritual insights. My life is proof of that. Call it want you will, in the end who gives a shit? It works as a means for communicating with God and at the end of the day that is one hell of a lot more important to me than some rhetorical chirping.d, and others that are entirely redacted.
The originals of the various scriptures were written at various times and for quite different audiences. To treat the compendium as anything close to monolithic requires a true commitment to ignorance.

In your world of make-believe, anything you deem the work of your invisible friend is the 'Truth,' regardless of how contradictory or nonsensical it is, and despite all evidence to the contrary.
This is the best you have? I'm underwhelmed.

QuoteWhat you are looking at is a few people saying they believe and answering questions, almost as well as can be, explaining why who what when and why they believe.
OTOH, you have the others telling they are ignorant, stupid and (insert your own dergoatory words here) for believing. Take note that none of that is about what he was saying.
A rational person would alter their beliefs according to the available evidence; yet when asked what evidence, logic or argument could sway a religious person from their beliefs, they invariably say that nothing in the world could do that, even in principle. Changing their opinion is not even an option because it is fundamentally contrary to the concept of faith. How exactly can you argue against an illogical, incoherent and downright dangerous position that absolutely cannot be swayed no matter what argument is presented? Is that not crazy?

It is called being convicted.
The Christian believer realizes he is a sinner condemned to spiritual death and that only God can save him. The path to God is through Jesus Christ's death on the cross.

QuoteIt's very sad that reason and critical thinking are suspended based on this mythology. Your beliefs are not rooted in reality.
They are based in spirituality.
