jclalor 12 #28 May 30, 2012 QuoteIt is still illegal to buy or sell to a person with a mental illness.... (So much for your claim) The mentally ill are not always so candid. QuoteHer comments come on the heels of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg releasing videos Monday taken by undercover agents at a Phoenix gun show just 15 days after the Tucson shootings. There, Arizona private investigators hired by New York City were able to purchase weapons not only without a background check but, at least twice, after admitting to sellers they probably would not pass. http://azdailysun.com/news/local/article_f2cf1b2c-2d82-11e0-9fe7-001cc4c03286.html So theoretically, The mentaly ill could never be convicted for claiming to be sane while purchasing a weapon. They could just plead insanity.

I agree with this even though it sucks to have the goobermint incessantly snipping away at our constitutional rights at every turn. (Yes, yes, I omitted the part about law enforcement's views.) We as a country are dead set on reducing ourselves to the lowest common denominator. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Would you also apply that to driver's licenses, marriage licenses and other state legal permits? If I wanted to drive cross-country, you would require me to get a dozen or more state driver's licenses to do that legally?

Disagree: Article IV, Section 1: "Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.
