And as good as a parent thinks they are, a teacher is better, and a fellow student teaching another student via explanation is even more beneficial to the students cognitive and social development. And really? Do you want your kid to meet someone like me for the first time when they are in university or when they are in grade school? I'm a non practicing Muslim who is very liberal and can just about anyone to do what they always wanted to do but were too afraid of doing. The average quality of the new teacher in recessions is a huge step different from the average quality hired during a good economy. And that seems born out by experience - I had several mediocre teachers that my parents could replace using only half their brain. I had many excellent ones that weren't smarter, but were certainly experienced at teaching. Still, when we're talking about math or science in general, school teachers are not in great shape, be it their limitations or teaching to the limitations of the class - iow, the least common denominator. Put it this way - I saw the same math book in grades 1,2,3,4. If I were limited to what they used, I'd have been even more bored. Quote And really? Did it while I was at university since the girls got free drinks at the Canadian bars and did it again after the divorce. It was good clean fun and just a great excuse for the ladies to dress trashy and hot and sexy on a day other than Halloween. Now back on topic....really?
