DSE 5 #1 March 27, 2012 "Marjoe" won the 1972 Academy Award for best doc. It was found and recently restored. Worth watching, regardless of religious background. The film includes the marriage ceremony he legally performed at the age of 4. If you enjoyed Steve Martin in "Leap of Faith," you'll love this doc. RonD1120 62 #5 March 29, 2012 Finished the Marjoe documentary. This revival movement had an explosion in the 50's - 70's. In the eighties it morphed into the charismatic movement. That is where I became acquainted with it. I was saved while camping, homeless, on Mono Lake at Lee Vining CA 16 Mar 81. I decided I must stop using mood altering substances, primarily alcohol, 26 Mar 83. In Apr 83 I asked for and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and shortly thereafter was completely delivered from the desire, some call this craving, for substances. I had the ability to deliver a very powerful testimony and began to experience the possibility of making a better than average income working the churches. One night following an evangelical testimonial I was looking at my monetary take in and the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, "Your testimony is not for sale." Shortly thereafter He revealed to me how to manipulate people through the Word of God for financial gain. I wrote down the steps as I received them. The document remains in my files as "The Thirteen Principles of Charismatic Hype and Jive." My revelation confirms what Marjoe documented. From the time of my Holy Spirit admonition until now I have never attempted to seek financial gain from my ministry. I believe that if the Lord is blessing your ministry the support will come without asking for it. I remain a counselor and teacher, for free. Thanks again for sharing the link. Keep seeking spiritual truth, ask, seek, knock and the door shall be opened.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. I saw this before the pfrase came into popular rse , but as I thought about it later on on I came to think of it as child abuse. Not unlike Nazi/Skinhead parents teaching theire children to hate. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done.
