"We hold these truths to be self-evident..." After far too many years of systemic abuse. They're all now guilty until proven innocent. I haven't even researched this. I don't need to. How many patients die every year waiting for such a transplant? I've seen cardiac patients post-transplant after 25+ years. How old is he? How many patients far younger than he were passed over w/that donor organ? Where did it come from? You think he actually paid for all of it? You think you'll actually find the truth to those last questions, Lisa? Lotsa Luck to you. All you'll find are more Washington lies. If you're that well-informed about transplant surgery, then you know that the organ goes to the best match, not the most important patient. Not exactly. The likelihood of success is also taken into account. For example, transplants are not given to good matches if they have other serious health problems. So while age is not in itself disqualifying, it is taken into account. I heard that another criteria is income - not for paying off to get the transplant, but consideration is given for being able to afford to pay for the anti-rejection meds, etc for the rest of your life - don't know if it's true. I suspect there is a large criteria of weighted factors and that they all have reasonable backings, and I suspect there are some that, when taken out of context, someone here can spin for their own agendas.. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

This conversation is already over. My older sister has been the recipient of 3 kidneys and a liver over the last 35 years. I've had type/crossmatch work done several times against the possibility of donating to her. So by all means, Pilfy, impress my sister and I with your in-depth knowledge of just HOW the transplant system works.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. I'll have my sister, who has been the recipient of 3 kidneys and a liver over the last 35 years, verify it with her doctors and the transplant registry." The discussion isn't medical. It's political. I'm not going to argue politics (or anything else) w/someone who is confrontational & loves to troll. Play ignorant to decades of obscene political corruption all you like. As far as I'm concerned, no smoking gun needs to be found on this one. It quite simply is what it is.

PiLFy 3 #30 March 26, 2012 Yeah, that took long (like about a minute)... You are a Troll. We are done. Get it?

Given your continued disregard of medical *fact* regarding transplant surgery, that statement would actually be describing you and not I. QuoteWe are done. Get it?
