Obama’s Muslim, evolution is fake & Rush Limbaugh is great, Republican voters say in poll

>Huh?? How is this conservatives trying to pass a "law".

Are you asking how conservatives trying to pass a law against using the term "gay" in school has anything to do with conservatives trying to pass a law? I'll let you try to figure that one out. (If you can't, just blama Obama.)

===================
A lawmaker in Tennessee is working to make sure kids don't pick up the idea that gay people exist. Tomorrow State Senator Stacey Campfield will introduce legislation, known as the "Don't Say Gay Bill," that reads, "... no public elementary or middle school shall provide any instruction or material that discusses sexual orientation other than heterosexuality." Surprisingly, no school in the state is showing fourth graders gay porn or discussing homosexuality at all, but apparently Campfield wants to be prepared.

Tennessee lawmakers advance 'don't say gay' bill

NASHVILLE – A bill to restrict teaching about homosexuality before high school cleared its first hurdle in the state House of Representatives, setting the stage for a second year of debate on the appropriate way to handle discussion about gays and lesbians with schoolchildren.

You just watch. Some group of Liberals somewhere will try and pass a law banning free speech from the public airways.

:D
He also makes some HUGE assumptions

First?
That this lawmaker is a conservative (he may well be but this is the line needed for the following)

But the biggest one is

They don’t want kids to know gays exist :D:D

The last one is a hoot :D

3. Non-sequitor to this discussion. However, Santorums an ass and he is simply catering to a certain voter. He's not going to try and enact any laws regarding pornography for adults.

So a Presidential nominee front runner (presumed runner up) says he's going to enforce obscenity laws to fight the scourge of pornography and it's just symbolic pandering.

But a lefty proposes shutting down Rush and it's proof that the liberals will ban free speech.

Yep...not your usual double standard at all.

I think it's hilarious that Rush's latest attempt to boost publicity backfired on him so badly. He must have been popping the pain killers before the show. How on earth did he think that calling college girls whores but asking them for sex tapes was going to go over well?

Rush had a staying power that has vastly exceeded the Johnny Come Latelies of Faux News, but this sort of stupidity could signal the beginning of the end.

I am pretty sure it is largely conservatives who are in favour of restrictions on free speech on public airways, in the name of common decency.

Well, once again, you are very wrong.

Not really.

Janet Jackson's nipple, anyone?
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Well, that's completely different. That could warp some poor young child's mind and must be banned. But that's not banning free speech, no sirree. It's not like you're trying to keep him from hearing that activist college women are whores and sluts - which, as RushMC points out, is simply the truth.

Assumption;
To warp, the mind, would imply that said mind is not already warped

But, if that child attends public schools or pre-schools, I think that assumption would be incorrect

So either your mind is warped, or you were home schooled or went to private school?

Do you have a warped mind?

I did when I came out

I was for gun control and believed the lies of AGW

I am now cured

Ah, of course. By that age the Obama indoctrination squads have already forced the child to "go gay," provided them with free abortion coupons and taught them all manner of things - evolution, heliocentrism, math, spelling - that warp them away from a politically correct conservative viewpoint.

Heck, next thing you know kids will be looking at pornography, eating tofu and walking on the lawns of old men.

Yep...not your usual double standard at all.

But it is your usual inability to see a difference. Enforcing existing laws vs. creating new ones. Yep, no difference there. :S

So a Conservative wants to use existing laws to limit free speech, and that is good.

But a lefty proposes a law and it is proof that liberals will ban free speech.

Makes sense to some I guess.

One politician who's an ass and will not be in any position to enforce or enact any new laws vs. an elected city council who has actually introduced legislation. Yep, sounds like the same thing to some people, I guess.

Just look up the Parents Television Council.

Are they made up of politicians with the power to change and enact laws?

Yep. And I gave you some examples of conservative groups trying to ban free speech in schools, on the net and in media. Same shit, different medium.
