QuoteQuoteQuoteAnd now you know why there is a section of the Republican Party that hates teachers and schools. An uneducated electorate is far easier to brainwash.
So you think that when Republicans and Democrats go to school together, the Democrats come out smart and enlightened and the Republican come out uneducated?
You have never spent much time in the deep south have you?
Does it share Santorum's belief that college is for snobs?
This sort of anti intellectualism goes back a while and was exemplified by GW.
Your views might change if you spent some time in Mississippi talking to some ignorant Bible-thumping Southern Democrats.

probably not - the SEC has never been known for focus on academics. But these states are solidly Red for decades now.

>uneducated?
No, they come out about the same. The republicans then call the democrats they went to school with "elitist" and ridicule them for wasting their money on those evil, ivory tower indoctrination mills.

More than likely they call them Union thugs. Your distorted view is elitist, however. You should get very far south of the Mason-Dixon line more often. It might clarify your view of southern democrats.
Color man: "The Democrats had the GOP on their heels. But the Republoicans cannot be coiunted out, battling back yet again. And the momentum is swinging their way!"
Play-by-play: "It seems that the Democrats had an insurmountable lead during the last Congress."
Color man: "yes. But we saw it happen with Rostenkowski and Jim Wright. We saw it happen with again with Pelosi. But one thing is for sure - you can never count the Republiocans out!"
My wife is hotter than your wife.

It all depends on what they were studying. Were they studying to be "Makers" in society (things like engineering) or were they studying to be "Takers" (things like Liberal Arts Majors, Political and Social Science Majors). "Makers" go on to contribute to society, "Takers" are taught only one thing. To protest when someone threatens to take away their entitlements. There is nothing wrong with those who are studying to be the next generation of "Makers". We need more people studying to be "Makers". Unfortunately society (well at least on this north side of the border) only seems to know how to produce the next generation of "Takers".
Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Oh that's the most fucked up thing I read all day and I just got finished reading a first year college student's screenplay.
BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars circulate in this country every year because of things made by liberal arts, poli and social science majors.
You have a warped view of the world my friend.

Coming from someone who lives in that make believe world of Hollywood,
I'll take that as a compliment.

I'm making out better than alright - will pay well over the median household income in taxes this year. So are all the lawyers, DAs, and politicians.
Is your tripe about California, the tech power of the nation, for real? Or hot air?

There are lots of good people with ignorant views; you can separate the two, but that doesn't change the fact that some of the views are, in fact, ignorant and proud of it.
OTOH, if you actually need something, these people (just as many others would), will help you.

Does it share Santorum's belief that college is for snobs?
.
Santorum, who has a MBA and a JD degree, is married to a wife with a masters, and his mother has a PhD and his father an MD.
I can only suppose that he thinks his entire family, himself included, is comprised of super snobs.

The Poll provides evidence about the GOPers. All you have is biased supposition about the Dems.

Or as the title states, "What about the stupid lies Democrats believe."
Alas, we all have our crosses to bear. (hehe, I said crosses.)
