Not that I knew much about the guy other than his prempting Weiner. But 43? I'd be interested in seeing what the hell he died of, though the picture showed a guy who was not the image of health.

A huge loss to the integrity of the journalistic arts.

I thought the picture was of a 55 year old man, not 43... :S

He will be missed . . . by Republicans.

It appears he'll be missed by more than Republicans. It's great to have a guy you hate. And it looks like plenty of people HATED the guy.

And I'm sure Obama has just as many haters or more, than Breitbart did... Pelosi's got plenty too...

Selectively editing video to change context doesn't show much integrity.

Indeed. The guy wasn't perfect, for damned sure. But I think that was where the Wiener thing came in. he was pissed that he wasn't taken seriously, but I must think it had something to do with his history of taking liberties.

Man, dead of natural causes at 43 is a ripoff I don't care who you are. :(

Agreed. I'm no particular fan of crap like the Drudge report, but still, my first thought on seeing the headline was "Wow, *I'm* 43....sucks for his family!"

I need a little help with the Drudge report, since I never get on there. But what the Hell does it mean that they go around "flashing each other" ???? Shouldn't they be doing that in the privacy of their own public restroom stall, or church pew, and not at work?

You know, in all seriousness, I'm really interested in toxicology. A guy dying in the middle of the night on a sidewalk often indicates something else going on.

Patience. It's not like they weren't going to do a tox screen.

With someone that controversial they'd be fools not to do a full autopsy (and quade's link says that they are).

But 43 is a very typical age for that sort of sudden, massive heart attack. Usually undiagnosed coranary artery disease. No symptoms, no visible indications, just Kaboom - you're dead.
I can think of half a dozen people that I personally knew that went that way. Most were more in the acquaintace, neighbor, worked for the same company but not a close co-worker category. Only one was a close friend.

Especially considering he was reported has having heart problems.

People need to lay off the conspiracy-inducing-crack-pipe.

Total speculation here, but.... He seemed like a hard-working, hard-drinking, angry, overweight person, who apparently had previous heart problems. It's sad, but I don't think it's that big of a surprise to drop dead at 43 with that kind of lifestyle.
