Cleveland school shooting

Since it exists in 17 states, it IS existing law. Just needs to be extended.

You do know that putting a law on a person that was not under that law in a State that does not have that law is not an *existing* law, right? It is a NEW law.

Just admit that you want new laws.... We all know that is what you want and you just prove yourself to be a liar when you play this game.

Agreed. Which is why car registration, driver's licenses and seatbelt/airbag/car seat requirements are there.

Cars are also not protected in the Bill of Rights.

Quote

Also agreed. Which is why there are laws requiring fences and specific drain design.

Pools are also not protected in the Bill of Rights.

And there ARE laws on guns already.... They don't really seem to be working so your solution is to create MORE? Prohibition didn't stop alcohol sales, the war on drugs didn't stop drug flow, Mexico's gun laws has not stopped gun violence, laws against prostitution didn't stop it.... Yet gun laws will somehow work?

And we all know that what you want is unfettered access to guns without the slightest inconvenience, and that people shot dead by felons and nutters are just collateral damage in your eyes.

Have you though about taking a course on LOGIC? Your posts indicate that you need one.

Oh look a personal attack.... Out of logical fact filled responses already?

FACT: This thread is about a child shooting others. Your "Solutions" would not have prevented it.

FACT: you only seem to care about child deaths when it involves guns.

The facts are clear.... you have an illogical emotional reaction when it comes to guns.

Show where I said that... go on PROVE your crap.

What I don't want is you being able to limit my rights based on your own fears and putting regulations in place that have already been shown not to work.

Funny thing is you cried a river when the Govt tried to take your toy rocket motors and make them as regulated as guns.

Just like you trying to claim you don't want NEW laws.... then your own words show that is a lie.

OK, show us a SINGLE post where you have made a suggestion about how to prevent felons and mentally ill people getting hold of guns. JUST ONE.

Why do you approve of ATF exceeding its authority? Any responsible citizen would want ATF to be held accountable to Congress, not going off making its own rules.

You COULD try reading BEFORE jerking the knee.

The kid in this story didn't go to one of those 33 other States and buy a gun..... So your own 'solutions' would have done NOTHING to prevent THIS crime.

If it were only THIS crime it wouldn't be a national embarrassment.

However, www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=gunman+shooter+history+of+mental+illness

I have discussed this several times... DO A SEARCH.

Show where I said anything of the sort. All I did was point out your double standard of being pissed about toy rocket motors and not about firearms.

Personally, I don't see how you can claim that the ATF asking for a background check for a single gun is great, but not OK for the ATF to ask for a background check for explosives.

As you said in THIS THREAD.... THIS THREAD is about the school shooting.

And even then you are crying about less than a .01% failure rate and ignoring all the laws that were broken before the shootings. Your 'solutions' would have done nothing to prevent this shooting, yet you are still claiming they would.

It all depends on what ATF is authorized to do by Congress. Why do you think it OK for ATF to exceed its statutory authority?

Like I said before... Show where I said it. All I said is you have a double standard when it comes to the ATF and toy motors and guns.

ATF background check for guns = Good
ATF backgound check for rocket motors = Bad.

I have made no comment about the ATF and the rocket motors, only your reaction to the same act from the ATF on different items.

I am APPALLED that you still think a 0.01% daily failure rate with respect to preventing illegal shootings is acceptable. As Kelpdiver said, do some simple math and stop embarrassing yourself.

Where did I approve ATF exceeding its authority with respect to firearms? Provide a link to a single post where I did that.

And I am appalled that you were more upset at the ATF trying to make you pass the SAME requirements to own a TOY that is not protected in the Bill of Rights, than you are about protecting the actual Bill of Rights.

OK, here is a list of every post you've made with the word "felon" in it.

Tell us which ones have your suggestions on how better to prevent felons (and loonies) from getting guns.

That STRAWMAN is dead. Stop beating it. ATF exceeded it's authority and a Federal judge told it to cease and desist. WHY DO YOU THINK IT OK FOR ATF TO EXCEED ITS AUTHORITY?

EVERY SINGLE POST you make regarding NICS for all sales, as that is not part of Federal law.
