rushmc 23 #1 February 2, 2012 QuoteObama: I Pushed Dodd-Frank And Health Care Reform Because Of Christ Quote"And so when I talk about our financial institutions playing by the same rules as folks on Main Street, when I talk about making sure insurance companies aren’t discriminating against those who are already sick, or making sure that unscrupulous lenders aren’t taking advantage of the most vulnerable among us, I do so because I genuinely believe it will make the economy stronger for everybody. But I also do it because I know that far too many neighbors in our country have been hurt and treated unfairly over the last few years, and I believe in God’s command to 'love thy neighbor as thyself.'" http://www.buzzfeed.com/zekejmiller/obama-i-pushed-dodd-frank-and-health-care-reform I wonder if he might ask Buckanan to join his admin"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." Matt You raise a reasonable point. But in all fairness and balance, I also happen to know (with specific certainty) that the Bush Administration, too, repeatedly blocked judgment-holders against Iran in terrorism cases from collecting on the judgments against frozen Iranian assets located in the US. So it's not just an Obama Administration policy, it's a long-standing American policy.

rehmwa 2 #10 February 3, 2012 Seriously, do we really need a president that says he 'talks to God' and one that thinks God is telling him what to do? ((apparently, there's a big enough of an ignorant voting block, that any politician is willing to play the old "God Card")) ... Ya, they are out there clearly speaking - I'm talking about those so indoctrinated in their religion, that a politician can score or lose points just by mentioning god and religion in every speech (they all do it - seems it's playing it safe - sincere or not) I'm not talking about those religious people that are able to see past that and keep their politics and religion in perspective in their choices ... riddler 0 #14 February 4, 2012 Fortunately, most people are smart enough to read more than just a really, really biased headline. Personally, I disagree with the 'love thy neighbor as thyself' part. No way I'm giving my neighbors a hand-job.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
