StreetScooby 5 #1 January 8, 2012 I've seen this going around the Internet. I'm interested in people's comments on this. Struck me as a reasonable assessment. The comparison in #6 made me LOL... Can't say I ever made that connection. I was going to leave off number 12 because it's just silly... 12 Reasons I voted Democrat!!!!!!! 1. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't. 2. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would. 3. I voted Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it. 4. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves. 5. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius. 6. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive. 7. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits. 8. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as they see fit. 9. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters. 10. I voted Democrat because I think that it's better to pay billions to people who hate us for their oil, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle or gopher. 11. I voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most wonderful country in the world, I was promised "HOPE AND CHANGE". 12. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass, it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.We are all engines of karma
Channman 2 #2 January 10, 2012 Well, seems to me that 50% of DZ.COM poster will continue to vote Democtat for one more reason. Obama, the smartest man to ever own a teleprompter because it makes him sound smart.
gher 0 #3 January 10, 2012 I'm simply tired of seeing more of my paycheck taken away to be given to those who do nothing but consume. I'm working harder, and More and more is being given to those who do NOTHING. Tax breaks for corporations--I like them. They increase the value of the stocks in my investment portfolio. This will allow me to retire comfortable. Occupy a job, you fucking wastes of space. I vote Republican, simply because I'd like to keep what I've earned..and I am not Christian. Jesus has nothing to do with my decision.

StreetScooby 5 #5 January 10, 2012 Quote Something over 300k abortions last year Not that I'm looking to get into an abortion debate, but the rate of abortions for blacks in NYC is simply staggering. StreetScooby 5 #8 January 10, 2012 Quote I'm working harder, and More and more is being given to those who do NOTHING. That does seem to be happening more and more. I'm reaching a point where my definition of "a right" is simply how you're allowed to conduct yourself personally. As soon as it starts costing somebody else's money, it becomes a privilege. Granted, I probably need to do some more work on my definition, but that's the basis I find myself using. We are all engines of karma
StreetScooby 5 #9 January 10, 2012 Just came across a new word, thought I'd post it: Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers. Sounds fitting...We are all engines of karma

I wonder, what are the primary reasons our DZ.COM friends that support Obama, would seriously consider giving him a second term. For me, I have no one in the current Republician field I wish to vote for. My vote however will be cast as "ANY BODY BUT OBAMA" RUSH, may have wanted Obama to fail, but he has succeeded beyond expectations. It only took him 3 years to distroy the country he, his mother and friends so loathed.

billvon 3,120 #21 January 11, 2012 >How did people so stupid as to believe the President has an immediate >impact on the economy end up with a lot of capital? Republicans* only believe this if there is a republican president and the economy is doing well, or if there is a democratic president and the economy is doing poorly. The problem there is that with so many republicans yelling "IT'S ALL OBAMA'S FAULT! HE CONTROLS THE ECONOMY!" that when it does recover, they will be hard pressed to then claim "well, he doesn't have anything to do with the economy." (You can reverse republicans and democrats, same thing)

The rest of the country doesn't. The rest of the country is still waiting for the tax hikes to kick in to see what it's going to do to their bottom line.
