GOP Candidates' tax plan analysis

Recommended Posts

Shouldn't they have Paul and not Cain there?

Debt by the R's is just gonna be a dollar less the the D's, that way they can claim a "reduction".

Either way, what we have sucks, and what we will get sucks.

1) reduce the corporate income tax rate from 35 to 25 percent and
oh that's nice!

permanently repeal the 0.9 percent tax on wages and the 3.8 percent tax on investment income of high-income individual taxpayers
oh yeah....

So trickel on economics....didn't Regan try that and it went FUBAR?

>>This would have much more validity if it added Barry to the list.

>Why, is he running as a GOP candidate?

No, but he will be running against one.

See the thread title.

Thread drift? HORRORS!

I'd like to see such an analysis myself. Hopefully a non partisan organization will do one and include Obama's and Paul's.

Indeed, but that is NOT what the non-partisan taxpolicycenter.org set out to do with this particular analysis.

"TPC will update the grid as candidates reveal more details about their tax plans."

Since Cain is still technically a candidate (so he can still raise money) I expect that's why he's still there.

That is another thing I hate, "Suspend" their failed run attempts so they can still raise money and "live" off of supporters donations.

Either in or out, once out pay the bills, zero and close the account, and go to work for some one.

But election year proposals are more fantasy than true intent. "Read me lips..."

Obama agreed with the GOP to extend the Bush cuts thru 2012 just so they could avoid voicing a real vote on a new approach. And it also allows him and the GOP nominee to present any plan as a tax cut based on the premise that the 2013 baseline will be higher than now. Just like Obama and McCain did in 2008.

So you support the idea that Barry doesn't tell us what his tax plan is?

The only GOP presidential candidate called Barry died years ago. Please try to keep up.
