JohnRich 4 #3 January 5, 2012 QuoteI love how it took the morons 20 mins to break in. And notice that the woman had been on the phone with 9-1-1 during all that time, and yet the police had still not arrived to stop this guy before he got in. Lesson 1: When your life is on the line, help from 9-1-1 can be more than 20 minutes away. Lesson 2: You better have the means to save yourself, while awaiting the arrival of the police. And some gun-o-phobes here might call this brave woman "another nutter with a gun".

Actually, I think it's ingeniously calculated: he wants to piss liberals off so much that they'll want to start shooting people who constantly insult them, so they'll go out and buy guns! At which point they'll be damned if they'll give them up. Problem solved!

Leaving it next to the alarm clock so the 5 year old in the house can shoot herself in the head is pretty nuts in my opinion. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/30079971/detail.html

A modicum of search-fu would have saved you some face - there's been plenty of threads talking about securing guns to keep kids away from them. I wonder why they thought she would have drugs at her house???? I wonder if this was really a random crime?????? Or maybe it was just 2 idiots high and desperate? At the end of it all, a Dead intruder is far better than a dead or kidnapped baby and a raped or murdered worman. The Castle Doctrine is a piece of common-sense legislation that has unfortunately not been adopted by all 50 States. This woman protected herself and her child, and saved the People of The State of Oklahoma a lot of time and money by not having to try and incarcerate this waste of space.
