Lesson 1: When your life is on the line, help from 9-1-1 can be more than 20 minutes away.
Lesson 2: You better have the means to save yourself, while awaiting the arrival of the police.

pretty sure if someone wanted to dedicate their time to search, they will find a good number of postings asking why calling the police isn't good enough, and at least a few (from Eurotrash) about how owning a gun is nuts or penis compensation.

At the end of it all, a Dead intruder is far better than a dead or kidnapped baby and a raped or murdered worman. The Castle Doctrine is a piece of common-sense legislation that has unfortunately not been adopted by all 50 States.

This woman protected herself and her child, and saved the People of The State of Oklahoma a lot of time and money by not having to try and incarcerate this waste of space.

Another story I read said the intruders knew the couple and were aware that her deceased husband (he was 58) had died of cancer and they were seeking drugs.
