News:
Guns are a big seller on Black Friday

"In addition to the sleek flat-screen televisions, smartphones, computers and cut-rate designer clothing, Black Friday's shopping legions seized on another hot item for 2011: guns.

"Gun dealers flooded the FBI with background check requests for prospective buyers last Friday, smashing the single-day, all-time high by 32%, according to bureau records.

"Deputy Assistant FBI Director Jerry Pender said the checks, required by federal law, surged to 129,166 during the day..."

News:
Why Did Gun Sales Skyrocket on Black Friday?

"MSNBC looked into it and got a wide variety of opinions. One analyst said it is because of the changing views on guns.

"Whereas five years ago it was politically incorrect (to own guns), what seems to be changing is social acceptance," said Bret Jordan, analyst at investment firm Avondale Partners. "The general trend is it's more socially acceptable to own a gun in the United States than it was five to six years ago."

If there is a point you are trying to make, would help if you could state it.

Perhaps it's that you're incapable of not responding to one of his posts?

WTF do you care, exactly? It's like Cristabel - for some reason the mere sight of a John posting gets her venom flowing and she feels absolutely compelled to make an anti-American or anti-Texas post.

Stop humping his leg, people!

The news story quotes state the point for me.

I talk here about far more than just guns and England. For example, the Christmas tree tax, the frequency of mental disorders, burping in school, and global warming. And that's just in Speaker's Corner. There are plenty more non-gun topics by JohnRich in other forums.

If you don't like JohnRich-Gun posts, then just skip over them and don't look. That's a pretty simple solution for you. Use it.

The last time I started a gun thread was October 2nd - two months ago, with the "restraining order or a gun" topic.

Does all of this add up to some kind of gun epidemic by me in your view?

Not really John, I enjoy shooting but even I read this and thought.. 'So what?' Its not that people don't like your threads John its just that it would be nice if you expressed your opinion on the items you quote on your OP.
