Obama pushes for extension of payroll tax relief

Sure it does, the left on this forum is quick as hell to point out bushes lowering of taxes in the past helping to get us to the financial mess we are in. They also say along with spending cuts the raising of taxes is needed by everyone especially towards the 1%. When Obama has the opportunity to perform a top democrat procedure of raising taxes and doesn't, you don't hear a peep from them. This is hypocritical and a dick move.

Dats phunni raht der.. I don't care who U R.:D:D:D

Does ANYONE here besides maybe Amazon really think we can just "tax the rich" out of this problem?

We have to raise taxes, lower spending BOTH in a meaningful manner and pay down the deficit.

One side wants to raise taxes a LOT lower spending a little, or raise taxes a little and lower spending a LOT.

We as voters are so busy telling the other side that they are wrong we cant even START to fix the problem.

I fear for all our children, we have allowed the system to become so fucked up we may have ruined this country.

No, actually, many moderates in here, who you insist on lumping into the label "the left" and "liberals" because it gives you a convenient implied pejorative, pointed out that Bush's massive military spending on a war waged to show-up his father and salve his Oedipus complex, combined with a refusal to generate revenues to pay for it so that the only people who benefit from it are Halliburton, et al., was not only fiscally but morally bankrupt.

Now, if you want to use the usual Fox"News" talking-point of labeling everything that ain't conservative "the left", like it's Ho Chi Minh under all our beds, that's on you.

Speaking of talking points, yours above look like something straight out of DKos/Dem Underground.

My posting history on here stands on its own Mike. How you choose to label it is simply irrelevant.

And no, I'm not getting sucked into trading one-liners with you.

Funny how YOUR labeling is somehow relevant, though.

How do you intend to do that when you and yours can't even at least get my position right:S:S:S:S

First and foremost there needs to be even the slightest drip drip drip of PATRIOTISM from Americans.... those at the top especially who have benefited from being Americans ( yet do such a damn fine job of keeping THEIR children from harm’s way in our never ending serial wars that have enriched so many of them so greatly).

In case you had not noticed almost all of your gadgets and toys are now made by the Chi Coms... while those who are selling the toys are getting fabulously wealthy and laughing at their fellow Americans inability to make anything.

This is starting to spill over into our military hardware being made elsewhere as well and being sold back to us because some greedy rich guy went for short term gains and sold out to the people who take a VERY long view of planning for the future... ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID OR WHAT People!!!!!

Tax policy needs to go back to what it was before a very few rich guys got together and decided to benefit themselves greatly and fuck everyone else.

Military policy need to be something less bloated than jumping off into any little war that some rich guys wants to run so that they can benefit themselves and their buddies even more greatly by handing out all the money that was left to a few industries that are left who keep building at a record pace more and more weapons to make sure we have plenty to fight that last war we got engaged in... but not the next one that will require far different tactics and hardware.
