nigel99 574 #1 October 28, 2011 I think the whole SC environment is getting a bit to centred on religion at the moment. The gun and politics threads have currently taken a back seat. So should politicians be allowed to own/carry fire-arms?Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

What gets me now is in my home state of MI I had my CCP, am able to carry in a number of other states, former Army Infantry, been to countless NRA and other shooting classes and competition, never had anything more than a speeding ticket about 10 years ago but now here in the state of New Jersey I cannot do anything with a handgun. Sure am glad all the gangbangers still have their guns strapped on them. Ok rant over. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Democrats would probably use them to rob the rich Robin Hood style, and republicans can't be trusted not to shoot each other (Dick Cheney, being the role model for this one)Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. So should politicians be allowed to own/carry fire-arms? Here in Wisconsin, concealed carry is about to go into effect (Nov 1). The politicians have an interesting take on it. For the Assembly, carry will not be banned. That means carry will be allowed on the floor, in the gallery, in committee hearings. In the Senate, however, it will be banned in the gallery, but not on the floor. So the overlords and their minions will be allowed to be armed, but not their subjects watching. http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/rules-being-developed-would-allow-guns-in-assembly-not-senate-132709403.html"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
