Show your link between overfishing in the Orient and a shark attack in Oz. Then if you really wanted traction, you'd say something indicating change substantially related to that overfishing. For a real eye-opener, you'd include something indicating statistically significant relationship and show causation rather than mere correlation.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Belgian_Draft 0 #5 October 22, 2011 Eh, very weak, if any, link between the two. To see the all-to-real consequences of overfishing, one merely needs to study the history of the cod industry in Newfoundland. Overfishing causing shark attacks? Much more likely the attack was caused by swimming near a shark that was ready for an easy meal. Humans in the water resemble wounded seals and are MUCH easier to catch than healthy seals or fish. Sharks are lazy creatures and know an easy meal when they sense one.HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. Seems that I can't substantiate that over fishing to fulfill the requirements of the Asian market is the cause of rising shark attacks but dwindling fish stocks sure dosen't help the matter. quote from the Daily reel. Are Shark Attacks Partly Humans’ Fault? Scientists are attempting to explain the seeming uprise in shark attacks lately, and sharks are not the only ones implicated. Some have asserted that our own population growth and ability to travel to all corners of the world have put humans in areas that sharks have been accustomed to using as hunting grounds. Other human factors are overfishing and ocean acidification, a process that is caused by carbon dioxide emissions. The exact correlation between rising human population and prevalence of shark attacks is not quite known. Gone fishing

For example, scorpions at White Sands have no predators except biologists. And there are many species where the population is controlled not by predation, but by the availability of food.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
