Cain Confuses FOX News on His Stance on Abortion

Recommended Posts

I know you want him to say that he wants to ban abortion so you can turn around and call him an extreme right wing nutter who wants to enslave women, and while he's at it African American's too....

Truth, he probably hasn't thought much about it and quite frankly won't think much about it while in office. His primary concern, being a business man is the economy.

Sorry if you can't get the answer you want so you can go on another (false) tea party rant.

And that is exactly the reason he will never be President, he Hasn't thought much about the issues. (except the economy)

Well, if in your perfect world, big issue that is going to decide where your vote is going is the candidates stance on abortion, then good on you. Your life must be wonderful.

For a large chunk of the nation however, jobs are their priority.

Quite frankly if I was Cain, I wouldn't take a stance at all on abortion, either way. I wouldn't even talk about it. It's a hot button topic that extremists use to polarize a debate. I would stay on topic.... jobs!!!

If you can not wrap your head around the fact that a Presidential candidate must have a firm grasp of multiple issues, nothing I can say will change your mind.

What is Herman Cain's job program outside of slashing the tax on the mega rich?

Any GOP candidate that does not proclaim to want to overturn Roe v Wade will never get the nomination.

Nope. It all boils down to God, Guns and Abortion if you are a Republican.
The God Squad will never embrace him if he isn't against abortion.

cain's days are numbered. He has a poor grasp of the world. iMHO

Seriously though, most people now a days are concerned about one thing, their job. I wouldn't count Cain out of the race yet, unless you live under a rock and are completely out of touch with what is going on around you....

Too bad you didn't come to that realization 2.5 years ago.

Congradulations, you found an extreme right wing publication that zeroed in on his one statement, however:

A. He did not say that his nomination was dependent on his being pro-life.

B. He did not say that was the only issue he was running on.

Survey says..... Fail!!!!

Frankly, there are too many sources to keep posting.

Misleading headline and story - disagreeing with the practice of abortion does not mean that they will overturn R v. W.

So are we talking about Mitt Romny or Herman Cain? I'm confused....

Tell you what, you keep trying to polarize and detract from the real issues that are affecting Americans, and I will concentrate on what is really important to the rest of us.

Good luck with your extremist agenda.

Your preaching to the choir. Mike said that no Republican has ever run on repealing Roe v Wade. I gave examples. you jumped into the conversation to defend Mike and I then gave you an example.

Here's another hint, when you use a quote, make sure to read all the words in caps.

You guys really do expect people to believe that there has not been a concerted effort on the part of the right wing to repeal Roe V Wade for almost 40 years now.... destroy any sort of family planning as we have seen with Planned parenthood fight that is ongoing... obliterate clinics that perform abortions as well as other forms of womens health services in 87% of counties in this country

Are you so used to being fooled... that you expect to be able to fool other all of the time like you are???

Face it.. the rePUBIClown party declared war on women long long ago...

Perhaps that is because many people feel that abortion is wrong? Not necessarily for religious reasons, but many people do feel that abortion is immoral.

That said, de-funding Planned Parenthood in general is just stupid, because they do far more than abortions. The Hyde Amendment on the other hand is great, preventing federal funding from being used to (IMHO) commit state-sanctioned murder.

Maybe I'm just a dumb man, but when you have sex, you are presumably doing so with the full knowledge that the biological purpose of sex is to procreate. Therefore, by having sex, you are accepting the risk of conceiving a child regardless of any birth control methods used.

Personally, I believe that life begins at conception, not because of any religious background, but because absent any genetic defects or abuse of the fetus, it will in all likelihood progress to a live birth. In my opinion, the mother does not have the right to unilaterally end the life of the child despite the fact that it is using her body to survive, because when she conceived the child, she did so with the full knowledge that the purpose of the act is to conceive a child.

Also, I believe that the father (if he can be determined...) should have input in the decision to perform an abortion. Obviously he cannot force or coerce the woman into having an abortion, but the woman should not be able to kill the father's child. Personally, I would prefer if abortion was not allowed in this case either, but that's just my libertarian fantasy world speaking.

The only case where I accept abortion is in cases of rape, incest, and if the continued pregnancy endangers the life of the mother.

I know that if I ever got a woman pregnant and later found out that she had an abortion, and I knew the child was mine, i would likely be spending a good deal of my life in prison.
