Video posted on the Internet shows the boys grappling and wrestling, watched by dozens of adults." http://news.yahoo.com/cage-fighting-children-prompt-strong-reaction-101752329.html O...M...G... quade 4 #2 September 22, 2011 QuoteChildren grappling and wrestling. What has this world come to? Intent here is everything. Kids at "normal" wrestling match not an issue at all. Kids at a UFC style, break bones and anything goes while adults bet on the outcome . . . probably something different. Article doesn't really give me enough information to judge it.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
CanuckInUSA 0 #3 September 22, 2011 They just ran this story on one of our national TV news networks. I got to say this was in very poor taste. Not so much that they were young (would we be whining if two boys wrestled each other?), not so much that it was held inside of a cage. No I think this was in poor taste because according to the news story I just watched, they charged the spectators $40/head to watch these boys fight and served alcohol to the spectators who wanted to drink. If kids want to wrestle, let them wrestle. But don't be charging money for people to watch this spectacle. Very poor taste from my side of the fence. http://www.globalnational.com/GlobalNational/video/cage+fighting+boys+on+tape+ignites+public+anger/video.html?v=2140492208&p=2&s=dd#video Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Skyrad 0 #5 September 23, 2011 Boys fighting? Heaven forbid! Boys have been fighting each other since time began, no big deal on that. However, adults watching them for entertainment and placing bets on it, thats weird and unacceptable. Thats what we've dogs, bears and roosters for. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
jimmytavino 16 #6 September 23, 2011 I think this world has been going "to Hell In a Hurry"..... the internet simply helps to SHOW this,,to be True... more easily... Such a Potentially USEFUL tool.. for educating, for sharing of knowledge, and for effective world wide communication..... It DOES accomplish that, to a limited extent.. BUT it also helps to show the idiocy, the vulgarity and the thoughtlessness of sooo many.... Add the proliferation of "on the spot video" now so readily avaiable ANd easily downloaded and the slipperly slope has become a waterfall of craziness.... Can anyone explain to me WHY there has been virtually NO control ??? over what can and can't be shown, posted, and accessed??? on the w. w. w. ( Yes i KNOW.. 'freedon of speech" ) It seems sad, to me. that instead of becoming a useful and effective means of communication, becoming a way for important notices and educational subjects to be shared.. the news media and the internet in general has deteriorated to a farcical and gratutitous means of distraction and absurdity.... ( THIS site excluded... of course)... As for the 2 kids fighting in the cage.... ( i DID see it on the tv news ) it's simply the next logical step from school yard brawling caught on video, EVEN encouraged by parents of the subject fighters and does a good job of validating the first statement i made here .... For all his supposed intelligence, Man is very easily led astray by fascination of , and willingness to engage in, a huge list of weird, unhealthy and vulger behavior.. Mankind??? Civilized??? i think Not. i fear for the future...jimmytavino

If kids want to wrestle, let them wrestle. But don't be charging money for people to watch this spectacle. Very poor taste from my side of the fence. Paid attendance at sporting events is normal. Serving alcohol at sporting events is not unheard of in the U.S. AIBA Boxing has an age limit of 15. UFC has no age limit, only weight Do you have a line for age determination where it IS appropriate for paid attendance and serving alcohol? Does it matter whether the ring has 4 sides or 8? Does it matter what the rules for contact are...say boxing vs MMA? Personally, I think organized sports is great for kids of any age. Keeps them off the street. I boxed as a youngster. I would have loved MMA had it been around back then even though I couldn't wrestle worth a damn.My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
