Perhaps they should give something other than a cheap foreign made gun

Got to love those foreign made firearms that still work after they have been soaked in water and dragged through the mud. There is a reason why AK-47s are still popular in many parts of the world. Where else can you find a product that is inexpensive to manufacture and yet ultra reliable. You certainly can not find inexpensive and reliable products coming out of some "We love Obama, he is our Class Warfare Savior" unionized shop.

AK-47 for "free"?

B|

I saw a local truck dealer offering a similar deal here in the Orlando area, buy a truck, get an AK-47!

Gotta love America!!!!

Well, it's not really an AK. It's a voucher.

And to get the $750 voucher, you have to open accounts for 15 stores and have $1,000,000 in account volume.

And for $750, you could probably buy at least 2 AKs. They have their place, but it is at the lower end of the spectrum. Inexpensive and reliable as all hell (that's not an insult to them BTW).

There's a jewler near me that usually offers a shotgun or hunting rifle as an "Add-on" to high value purchases in the fall. She gets a really nice Christmas present, he gets a new gun for hunting season. ;)

That's interesting, coming from someone who has bragged about owning AK's in the past.
If they are so cheap and foreign, then why did YOU bother with them?

I got rid of them long ago. John.. how about you.... dont you need to go stroke a gun now???

You didn't answer the question: Why did you acquire them in the first place?

So you criticize them as cheap foreign guns, but at the same time you admit that you have owned them yourself. Do you see anything contradictory there? Can you explain this?

Just for you JR

Can you explain your excessive need to play with a gun???

People buy and own cheap crap. Doesn't mean that they want more of it. I've bought the cheapest crappiest blanket I could at Wal-Mart because I was camping somewhere, was cold and didn't have much money - but if someone tried to give that to me as, say, an incentive to buy a car, I'd laugh.

Awwwww... How sweet.

Did you give your rifle a ladies name to? Or did you call your Chuck or Steve or something?

Did the air force even let you have a rifle?

There is a reason why the AK-47 is the most popular firearm in the history of this planet. Not only is it inexpensive to make, but it is remarkably reliable. It may not be the most powerful firearm, it may not be the most accurate. But in jungles of Southeast Asia/Africa where mud and water are plentiful or through the deserts of the Middle East/North Africa where dust and sand are plentiful ... when push comes to shove the AK-47 can usually be relied on to actually work when you need it to work. There is a big difference between cheap as in inexpensive to manufacture? versus cheap as in poor quality? English is a funny language the way the same word has two completely different meanings depending on the context in which it is used.

Once again, you didn't answer the question - are these too tough for you? Do you not have good answers? Tsk tsk. Would you like to try again? Why did you own AK guns, if you think they're so cheap and foreign?

BTW, I don't open youtube videos, especially ones that you post, so you can save yourself that time.

Aw, that's really sweet of you to jump in and try and help Amazon out, when she can't come up with a good answer of her own. I'm sure she appreciates your assistance.

I answered your question long ago little Johnnie.... now if you are having comprehension problems.... sorry not my fault.

I do hear that even Houston has community colleges that offer remedial reading classes for people who are desparately in need of them.

So take the 750.00 voucher and get a cheap American made gun... Like a DPMS AR.

But given the choice of a 750.00 AK (Yugo) or a 750.00 AR (DPMS).... I'll take the AK.

They run very well, you can treat them like crap and they still run very well. I used to buy 1k rounds of 7.62 X 39 for 75 dollars. 1k rounds of 5.56 X 45 runs about 300.00

Now I don't shoot it much, but it is tons of fun to just blast away at stuff and not think twice about the price.

Where in the world can you get 7.62 Soviet for $75/M??

I haven't seen prices like that in 15 years or more, even on big quantity discounts.

Did you know that 6 crates stacked on top of each other make a nice nightstand??

Big quantity discounts are cool, you just have to figure out what to do with 10 or 15 crates of the stuff ;)

Nope, all you said was "I wanted it", but you haven't explained WHY you wanted a cheap foreign gun, which you now criticize. Until you explain yourself, the contradiction remains.

And since you don't have a good answer, you respond in the only way you know how - with personal insults. Is that how you build yourself up, by putting others down?

Not to fear though, I'm sure that the liberal moderators won't warn you about violating the rules, as those don't seem to apply when they're broken to insult people deemed to be conservatives. Go right ahead, and show everyone your true personality.

Well, I don't find it much fun to shoot at stuff with a cheap gun and cheap ammo if it won't hit what I'm aiming at. If you limit the distance to 25 yards or less, and shoot at tin cans, I guess it'll work. I even quit buying the cheap brick ammo for my .22 rifle, once I found out how much better the competition grade .22 ammo was. The brick ammo just didn't cut it any more, because I knew I could be making hits, that the poor quality ammo was causing to miss.

As to the idea that cheaply manufactured doesn't necessarily mean a cheaply made gun: The AK has a receiver made of pieces of stamped sheet metal riveted or welded together. That's both cheap to make, and cheap in quality. It doesn't match a receiver that is milled out of a solid piece of steel, for durability.
