Yes. Unfortunately, many americans do not "believe" in evolution.

Depends on what one considers evolution to be.

I'm going to have to say that anybody that has to parse it beyond the common definition is probably just looking for a way out.

I'm going to have to say that anybody who doesn't parse it out beyond the common generic definition is just blissfully drinking the blue coolade.

How so? Evolution, as used by scientists up to this point and commonly understood by them around the globe, has meant exactly one thing. How does parsing a new definition of it improve the situation?

Do I need to parse the definition of "gravity" as well, or is that "drinking the blue coolade"?

Really? Please link an example of me attempting to parse a common definition; not something obtuse somebody has said, but a commonly understood term such as "evolution."

Bah . . . even if you quote the cop you can't say he threatened him. He states what he thinks he should have done, but that's very different from saying what he's going to do if the perp doesn't cooperate. This isn't ME parsing it, it's you guys. It's impossible to threaten somebody in past tense.

Bringing that back around to this thread, I don't see how anybody can say it's evolution if they think god somehow had a hand in it.

Says the guy who gets all his information on the subject from an organisation whos stated aim is to disagree with it even if it means lying, obfuscating and plain making shit up.

I keep wondering if one day you're going to turn out to be one of the most comitted trolls in internet history, and you've actually just been fucking with us this whole time.
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

four in ten americans are goat-fuck stupid

Is that a quantifiable amount of stupidity?

i think "goat-fuck stupid" is quite quantifiable, dont you think!? :P

but only accurate to +/- one class of farm animal. (chicken, goat, sheep, pig, cow)

there's yet another study which reveals that 4 in 10 americans do prefer sexual intercourse with chickens, because - wait for it - they're not only "goat-fuck stupid" - it's coming - they also have very small dicks! :P
