SkyDekker 1,465 #26 September 8, 2011 Ahh here I was thinking that when you say taxed, you meant paying tax....
DougH 270 #27 September 8, 2011 Quote Yes it is - the entity is taxed, not the money. A corporation is a different entity than its shareholders. So simple, I'm surprised you can't figure it out. Who ever said that a corporation wasn't a seperate legal entity? It really isn't relevant either way. The only thing that maters is the tax structure and the way the flow of funds works and is reported. An LLC is a seperate legal entity. It can elect to be treated as a partnership or a sole proprietorship. In that sense it becomes a flow through entity and is not taxed at the entity level. S corps are seperate legal entities too. The entity files a tax return, it is taxed based on its net taxable income, its EARNINGS. It is the earnings that give rise to tax. If the entity didn't earn anything, it wouldn't have anything to tax for that given year, and it wouldn't have anything to distribute unless it decided to make a distribution from previous years retained earnings, or made a return of capital. Where did the corporation get the money to distribute in the form of dividends? Mana from the sky?"The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

So the EARNINGS of the corporation's workers comprise double taxation too, according to your interpretation. You have drunk too much of the Republican's Kool Aid.... You have drunk too much of the Republican's Kool Aid. Now your just being ignorant and refusing to read what I have already wrote. When a business pays a worker they take that as a deduction. So no, a corporation doesn't pay income tax on the amounts that they pay their workers. I really enjoy that you have taken basic accounting and tax concepts and turned them into some sort of a partisan issue. Go find some democrat CPA's they will be happy to explain that you are WRONG!
