DanJohnson 0 #1 September 2, 2011 I don't know if that 2.4 trillion figure really moves you much but to me that's some considerable cash!!! I built my chicken coup for about 13 dollars and get 3 eggs every day and a half. I set out my garden this year at a total cost of about 58 dollars . I've gorged myself on the harvest and my gal has canned enough food to provide for us through the winter. 2.4 Trillion dollars. That is the amount Donald Rumsfeld announced to the world the Pentagon couldn't account for the day before 9-11. Not exactly pocket change lost in the sofa cushions but I guess it kinda is. No one is investigating where that money went as the accounting department got the wallop on 9-11. Still Rummy announced that the Pentagon couldn't account for 2.4 Trillion. No one has investigated. If you and I decide to not file tax returms this year can we expect the same lack of investigation? Where would the governments' investigative money be better spent? Investigating the evaporization of the 2.4 Trillion at the Pentagon or investigating the shmuck who didn't pay up the $2,000 he might owe?

DiverMike 5 #4 September 2, 2011 I think they control at least that much money. They just don't do a very good job of accounting for how they spent it. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

winsor 236 #8 September 2, 2011 Quote Governments don't control money ... the banks (aka the Rothschilds et al. ) do DD...is that you? Read "The Creature from Jekyll Island," and check the claims against information in the public domain. The "Federal Reserve" is neither Federal nor a reserve. It is a consortium of private banks that generate "money" out of thin air in an end-run around the Constitution. If the Treasury were to simply issue currency without something backing it, it would be entirely illegal. However, by "borrowing" money from a private enterprise (the Fed), the Treasury may then issue currency based on said debt with impunity. Like it or not, the Rothschilds were to the modern banking system what Ford, Carnegie, Rockefeller et al. were to their respective industries, and the entities they created are still at the epicenter of our economy. The Fed was the brainchild of the Rothschilds and their proxies - though I am not sure if any of the Rothschild family is still involved (I would guess so). It was not, by any means, a conspiracy. It was a very straighforward business model, as successful as it was amoral. BSBD, Winsor
