People who are aspiring to be the President of this country, who believe the earth is 6000 years old and also have conversations with invisible people.

And this rash I have.

People who think that because a candidate is Christian, that they beleive the Earth is 6000 years old.

Not all, just the front running Republican. Who now appears to be all by himself, he has such a lack of a basic understanding of science that he is truly frightening. The whole world looks at us with amusement.

You've said the same about Bachmann - what's the matter, can't keep up with what bullshit you've said about what candidate?

Bachmann is finished. Perry is out in front by a large margin and the race is his to lose, I would love to see Bachmann win the nomination, that would ensure another 4 for for Obama.

Outside of Huntsman and Paul, all the republicans running this year are religious nuts who are anti-science. Evolution is just a theory like ID? did you see all those nuts during the debate? they were asked about creationism and all but the previous mentioned 2 said they don't believe in evolution.

Global warming is a fact.

Twaddle. CO2 ever higher, temp anomaly flat for the last decade.

(Weather) or not it is caused by man is debatable.

See above.

***What's an elinin?

In 2000 Little Elian Gonzales crossed the sea from Castro's Cuba losing his mother to the sea in the process.

Janet Reno and the Clinton administration forced repatriation of this young saviour to the communists' clutches !

No comment on some Doomsday End of Life on Earth Comet since there is no evidence that one exists yet and there certainly won't be one striking the planet in 2012. As far as earthquakes are concerned, well they have been going on since this planet formed many billions of years ago, they will continue to occur for billions more years and while we can not predict when the next one will come or where it will occur, we know why they occur and there is nothing we can do about them. Except make sure our buildings are built strong in areas where they frequent.

But ...

if you want to talk about the recent East Coast Earthquake, there has never been a clearer example of "The Founding Fathers of the USA rolling over in their graves for the bullshit US politicians are up to these days". :S

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

No
Climate change is a fact

The planet has been warmer and cooler research show

Whether man had anything to do with it back then is not debatabe

Whether he is today should not be[:/]

>Does this still haunt you?

I read Stephen King's IT as a kid and I didn't sleep for days.

I've a recurring nightmare of being chased by Ronald McDonald armed with a chainsaw through Glasgow Central station.

I explained that to a psychologist once and she stared at me from above her glasses for an uncomfortable moment then asked if I'd seen the film 'It'.

We then had an argument about Pennywise and Ronald...[:/]

Personally I'm a true believer that there is never reason to fear.

I'm afraid of people that say they have no fear. They are truly dangerous.

yep! They are either lying or dumber than a bag of hammers.

Nah. Bag of hammers refers to someone's face: like a bag of smashed crabs...like a bulldog licking shit off a thistle...like someone who just stepped off the internet...teeth in all round defence...could eat a crab apple through a chain-link fence...:D

Just ask Randy-pants ;-)

'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

It's all part of evolution. Those who truly have no fear are eliminated from the gene pool very quickly, usually by their own stupid blunders. Those who let their fears control them are also eliminated but at a much slower rate. Those who have fears but learn quickly to control those fears and use them to their advantage are the most likely to survive and produce offspring who have the same trait.
I have often read publications proclaiming how to eliminate fear. Well, that entire idea is a bunch of bullshit. We can no more eliminate the emotion of fear than we can any other emotion. But we can learn to control it.

That makes a lot of sense.
