From the limited information I have seen on this incident, it looks like one person (who may or may not have had an accomplice) was responsible for the vandalism that then came extremely close to becoming a murder. Plus despite the calls by some for people to adopt an alternate reality where this was actually the Tea Party who was willing to murder a man all in the name of firing up their base, the more realistic likelihood was that the perpetrator(s) is a supporter of unions and may even be in a union though which one I have no clue since the story does not go into those sort of details.
