QuoteBy aligning with John Hagee, Perry seems to signal that he is not hearing the voices of the evangelical Christians in the Palestinian Territories who are deeply damaged by Hagee’s organizations and advocacy of US policies that do not support Palestinians as well as Israelis.
I mentioned it earlier of who Perry is aligning himself with (of course Mike Neal called it bullshit, well Mike, theres more proof.) Hagee is a preacher of hate and an advocate of Radical Christian take over of the U.S. government. I can only imagine that the government keeps a close eye on him.
It is refreshing to see that not every Christian has wool over his/her eyes and a credit card in hand to buy the hate books of those Perry is siding with.
I think that those within the Republican party will do more to bring Perry down, than those in the Democratic party will.
Thanks for posting that.

You are welcome but, please understand, I posted that reference so that folks realize you cannot paint all Christians with the same brush. We have our disagreements without our own house.
Evangelicals for Social Action is a very liberal group.
I do not support their political stance.
I have heard John Hagee speak in strong support of Israel and the Jews. To claim that he is antisemitic is false.
Also, I do not believe that he supports the Christian takeover of the U.S. Government.
"The movement in its modern form was founded in the United States of America, popularized by Rousas John Rushdoony, in his work The Institutes of Biblical Law (1973),...."

Rushdoony's work is extremely right wing and unconstitutional. It is food for thought only. No sound thinking Christian American could advocate its application in our system of government.
Generally speaking, Christians advocate the application of Scriptural principles in government, business, education, family and the church. Anyone who believes there is only one set of rules for that application is woefully naive.

Yeah, you know how those prayer meetings go....you pledge yourself to support them/their church forever. Lemme know when you decide to apply the same standard to Obama's 20 years at Trinity United.
I noticed you didn't have much to say about that 'put religion in charge of government' speech and prayer of Perry's....why's that, I wonder?
I love you, Shannon and Jim.
