Wisconsin State Fair hit by riots

Hundreds of people rampaged through the neighborhoods surrounding the Wisconsin State Fair on Saturday, and Milwaukee police are said to be still trying to get to the bottom of what caused so many people to become so angry.

It’s believed that just after 11pm, police were alerted to a large group of people exhibiting ‘mob-like behavior’ and attacking cars. Although no-one died in the violence, a number of people were injured and required hospital treatment, including one person who needs surgery. Around 24 people were arrested during the disturbance.

The riots are already being blamed by many on African American teens, with at least two local politicians saying that the violence was caused by a ‘deteriorating African American culture’ in the city of Milwaukee. But whatever caused the riots, Milwaukee’s political leaders are going to have to show a little more political acumen if they are going to get to the root of the issues

What a difference the media makes

What I heard on the radio from abc news was a group of teens

When you go on line and look at the interviews and all

It was a group of black teens pulling whites out of cars, attacking white vendors, white kids and walking past blacks in the same places

Imagine if this was color reversed!!!

To be clear, I'm no racist. However the section of the state fair that this all started in is heavily dominated by african americans. I think that's what a lot of the media spin is coming from. I have walked through there at night and I felt like I was in the hood. The number of police in that section is ten fold what it is in the rest of the park.

I also think that the story is somewhat blown up by the media, cause I was at the state fair that night and didn't even know that had happened. I read about it in the news the next day.

It doesn't, but he barks-out that kind of random shit against his standard enemies from time to time. My dog does the same thing, at passing cars.

Not surprised. My friends who are deaf and have two kids, recently went to the water park in Bessemer, which is part of the metro area of Birmingham, AL and has a strong concentration of blacks. They will NEVER EVER go there again. A group of black teenagers started a brawl in a section of the park next to the bumper car attraction where my friend was riding with his 5 year old son. His wife and 2 year old daughter were on the other side of the brawl. Luckily, older and wiser blacks shepherded them all to safety, through the woods.

Bunch of fucking assholes with nothing better to do and can't resolve their fucking differences peacefully.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. All reports that I've seen of this make it clear that it was a "race riot" and draw attention to the fact they were black.

Since you've been following this story so closely (big surprise), surely you must have found some video of this. All the reporting seems to be from a handful of people who don't wish to be identified. It seems a bit strange to have a riot of hundreds of people beating people in the street and no one pulled out a phone?
