Like when we go to England and eat a steak. Garadelli and Scharfenburger are much larger than niche players, but it is a bit fashionable to make artisan chocolate around here as well, with TCHO being the more recent to grow from tiny to mid sized. http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=chocolate+factory+tours&find_loc=San+Francisco%2C+CA

But honestly, I think you're lying if you claim you have no idea what Octoberfest about, or have never been at a beer garden during that time. We have it here, 6000 miles west of Germany. I know Berlin has it on a much larger scale. The last time we talked about range of travel, I recall you had no answer after I presented my travelogue. This past 6 months I have logged ~38000 miles and 3 continents aside from my own. We also talked many times about the limited freedom of speech and religion in your nation. Many argue this isn't a loss, but I prefer a less ambiguous freedom of speech. on religion (from Wiki "Scientology in Germany") "Scientologists in Germany face specific political and economic restrictions. They are barred from membership in major political parties and employers use so-called "sect filters" to expose a job applicant's association with the organization. German federal and state interior ministers started a process aimed at banning Scientology in late 2007, but abandoned the initiative a year later, finding insufficient legal grounds. Despite this, polls suggest that most Germans favour banning Scientology altogether." It may be a wacko cult, but as an atheist I'm highly suspicious when the majority declares a minority religion as a cult, or worse, discriminates against those associated with it. kelpdiver 2 #200 August 16, 2011 Quote well, a holocaust-denier is clearly delusional, or are you denying the holocaust has happened!? if not, no worry.. You don't see any problems with jailing people for saying unpopular things, having unpopular beliefs? Quote for the wacko-scientology, mhm, since this "cult" runs its own secret-service, i can clearly see how it is conflicting with say "integrity of the state"; or would like to have an operating al-quaeda cell in your neighbourhood!? This is the sort of nonsense that got us stuck with the Patriot Act. But even that turkey isn't as bad as what we see here. Scientology hasn't threatened the integrity of America and it has a bunch of money (Hollywood) behind it. Locally I know a guy who contributes greatly to the community in the form of skill clinics for motorcyclists, and in the sport of diving. I think he's just a talented man, but he would attribute his success to Scientology. We have many organizations/cults/religions that take people's money and in return "somehow make them more successful." People have free will to do this - core principle of freedom.
