CanuckInUSA 0 #26 August 15, 2011 Democracy is proving to be an utter failure. Why do I say this? Because politicians are only making empty promises we want to hear to get themselves elected and most of these empty promises that the people want are simply not sustainable. Of course, Democracy is still better than pretty much all other forms of government. We are so screwed ... except that most generations before us from a few centuries or millennia were screwed even more than we are screwed. So we might as well enjoy being screwed, but still know that were are not as screwed as other generations before us. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Quote Bullshit! No I did read your "second paragraph ". LOL! It ain't exactly the "Zapruder film" Fact is we are more screwed than those who lived before us. The government now has digital equipment which wasn't around when Bonnie and Clyde were avoiding them. And your tax dollars pay toward your enslavement in this high tech web ! Meh. . .Better than being enslaved by cholera, tuberculosis, the Wild West, droughts, dust bowls, JD Salinger and lack of parks that allows homeless people to pretend to be free. I still think it would be neat to be able to jump into the 'Way-Back Machine' and go back to earlier times in this country. Like the times of Lewis and Clark or Bill Hickock!
