Blue State welfare Given to Red States

Some want to bitch about making the rich pay more in taxes. I want my federal tax dollars staying in California. Why should all the blue states have there money going to support the shiftless and lazy red states. The flyover states have been suckling at the Federal teat for way too long.

I wonder why the blue states have to bail out the red states year in and year out.

you realize that's a contradiction - if you want the money to stay where it is and not be redistributed, then it shouldn't be taxed at all

BTW ... to somehow bring this thread back on topic, funny how things work. Up here in Canada the "have" provinces who pay for Canada's socialism tend to be Conservative leaning provinces and the "have-not" provinces are perpetual socialist cess pools who can never balance their books. Of course if I was to ever bring up the topic like the OP did where out "have" provinces should stop funding the socialism "have-not" provinces demand. All hell would break loose.
