QuoteYou mean like the YouTube video posted by jclalor? What's the difference?
How often do I cut and paste or link something?
I understand... Rationalization is the key.

Ok, but use your words, with your understanding of the processes. Leave the other crap out if you don't mind.

QuoteAs opposed to?
As opposed to a 'solution' that isn't exactly the same as the purported problem it is required to solve.
QuoteAt least I have an unmoved mover. You're grasping at straws out of thin air.
The irony meter has just blown up. Do you not read through in your head what you've typed before you press Post? You probably should.

QuoteI watched the entire thing and no...NOVA's "unbiased documentary" did not make its case.
'Make its case' eh? Well, speaking of cases, how exactly did Michael Behe get on at the Dover trial where he appeared as an expert witness speaking primarily on irreducible complexity?
I forget: did he wow the gallery with his insightful and damning critiques of accepted science, or was he exposed as a charlatan who's theories were nothing more than a dressed up god of the gaps, self admittedly on a par with astrology and who couldn't even be bothered to keep up to date with the research on specific pathways which he had singled out as being impossible to evolve naturally?
Actually that's a lie, I can remember what happened. It's option 2. Behe has zero credibility and zero substance.

He's almost right.
You're obviously more than capable of applying critical thinking and logic, it's just that on some subjects you choose not to. Which is worse

And violence, and alcohol, and gambling. As with everything, moderation is key.
Violence in moderation? Does that mean stabbing just one person a day?

I limit my stabbings to just three per day. Anything more is just overkill.

Like the uncertainty principle, that has never been observed to be violated in tens of thousands of experiments. Which is rather more experimental, repeatable, observable, falsifiable data than you have for the existence of your god (none at all).
If God doesn't exist why, as a species ,have we sought Him for so many millennia?.
Bad logic. Very bad logic. You may fool yourself but it won't fool anyone else (except maybe Coreece). You have NO evidence to support your myths.
Dammit Max, you got me...son of a bitch!

Quote1) We are social animals, and for centuries looked for people to rule us. (We still have this with us today, which is why so many americans are obsessed with our president, who is supposed to be a mere administrator.) We often extend this to look for a ruler outside of our normal social structures.
I don't feel a need to be ruled by anything, anybody, or any god...
Quote2) We have a desire to understand the world around us, and when we can't, God is a good substitute.
I have a desire to understand God. When I can't, the world is a bad substitute.
Quote3) As neurotheologists are starting to understand...
get back to me when they actually know something...
Quotemany mental peculiarities (not defects) render people susceptible to hearing voices, seeing visions etc. If even .1% of the people in a population have such unique brain morphologies, that's a lot of people who "experience God" in a very direct way. (Or the devil, or evil spirits, or whatever.)
I don't hear voices nor do I see visions, at least those that are not common to man...yet I still believe in God.

You might like getting wedgies, but I hate to disappoint you. I am not the kind of douchebag who would consider giving you one - no matter how hard you beg.
If you want a wedgie, I am sure there is some total asshole somewhere who will oblige you.
Good luck.

That's my point...I think you would, if you had more muscle than brains.
You guys abuse your intellect in the same way a bully abuses his strength.
It would be preposterous to think that the flagellum of a bacteria just "happened" to form those 40 or so proteins just so to produce what we see today. The problem, you see, is that is not how natural selection works. Natural selection has a very gradual increase in complexity. All it takes is for a change, no matter how small, to thrive in the gene pool of a species is it creating a slight favor in reproduction rates. It stands to reason that a "slightly" mobile bacteria, due to porting proteins through its cellular membrane, might have a slight advantage in reproduction due to exposure to a wider enviornment. Later generations with slightly more sophisticated or efficient "motor" systems allowing them to be more mobile would then carry the torch on and on.
