The job of a career politician is to stay in office and wield their power to gain more power so that they can get re-elected. We need fewer politicians and more public servants. unfortunately that's not going to happen any time soon. Once more than half the households didn't pay any taxes, we were beyond that tipping point. Those people will get out and vote themselves candidates that will extend their benefits. When the swing goes the other way, it will go so far that the candidates from the other side of the fence will be radicals compared to only a few years ago. From where I sit, the formation that was once a useful government has already flushed. Not sure where it goes from here.
