DNC Chair: We own the economy

The DNC's party chairman Schultz has been quoted saying the economy "has turned around" since President Obama took office, with steady job growth evident even if the pace leaves something to be desired.

you, ahem, slightly, misquoted him. One reason it's not getting wide play. That and the fact that the DNC/RNC are minor players - they're fundraisers, not agenda setters for their parties.

Let me offer another reason why it might not be getting a lot of play. In this interview she was sure to mention how great the economy is doing by talking about how Obama has created a million jobs in the last 6 months. New jobless claims for this month alone were close to 500,000.

If you ask business why they are not hiring, they will tell you it's because they are unsure how much that new hire is going to cost them with taxes, healthcare, etc....

In short, everything out of her mouth is a load, and if the story got to much press, it would hurt the DNC's ability to fund raise.
