Bin Laden is Dead

>How about by reaching under his pillow?

Dude, you're using logic; this is an emotional argument. There are a lot of people here who need reasons to hate Obama, and they're hurting after this success. Thus the search for a rationale that allows them to at least grudgingly accept the elimination of Bin Laden while finding a way to attack Obama.

You asked me if I would rejoice if someone who hurt me or people I love got killed (paraphrasing, but I believe that was the general idea).

Nope.. not me.

Quote

but I know myself well enough to know that killing another person would not bring me joy.

Yet you have accused several others of that exact same thing.

My apologies, it was in fact jaybird18c who had asked me that particular question - you asked me if I had seen the seals drunkenly celebrating the death of OBL (again, paraphrasing). No, I didn't. And I didn't say everyone was rejoicing. But lots of people were rejoicing - including some people on here. I was not debating as to whether this feeling was representative of the majority - I was, like Pops said, reacting to the people who were rejoicing.

And no. I never "accused several others" of rejoicing after they themselves used deadly force. Most people have never been directly involved in killing someone, and I personally doubt that most people would rejoice if they actually had to do it.

Either read what I ACTUALLY wrote or be more specific/accurate about your accusations.

How do you know he was reaching under his pillow? There is 25 minutes of video tape missing that could have answered this question. Your guesses and partisanship is no different than those you condemn. I also suspect you'd be singing a different tune if this had been conducted by Bush. Weren't you one of the ones who supported Constitutional Rights for terrorists when Bush was President? Oh, the hypocrisy when it's your guy.

Why do you think they erased 25 minutes of tape?

Do you not realize the difference between 25 minutes of communication loss, and going back to "erase the tape" later? The communications with the States would have been by satellite, which is notoriously fickle. Having used mobile satellite communications devices, I'm not at all surprized that video was lost during the raid. Frankly, I'm surprized they had semi-real time communications with the White House at all.

Tell me you aren't this naive.

Bush didn't use bombs on Saddam, so your claims have zero data to back them up.

Your statement in post #439

Quote

You said Bush would have bombed OBL.... But he didn't bomb Saddam.

Your statement in post #496
I never said that Bush didn't bomb Saddam. You did. It is in post #439

By definition, it was a PA. Man up and admit it instead of running away.

Get a dictionary.
A PA would had been "You are as brain dead as Saddam and bin-Laden."
A rhetorical question is one that does not beg an answer. However, feel free to answer, if you wish.

Yet the *facts show he sent in a Delta team*

This came near 9 months after the "Shock and Awe" event and a number of other bombings in an attempt to take Saddam out.

Once again, you have nothing but hot air and insults.

I have not insulted you. Feel free to feel I had.

I believe this entire operation was taped and that the video and audio exists somewhere.

Yep, it probably was. You kep claiming that 25 minutes of tape (as if anyone uses tape anymore) was erased. News reports, on the other hand, say that communication was disrupted for about 25 minutes. The two things are not the same.

And the likihood of the public ever seeing unedited video of the raid is about zero. Operators aren't too keen on publicizing tactics and techniques.

That is funny shit.To suggest that the President was angry that this mission went off is just plain insane.
Somehow I get the feeling that many of the Obama haters would had loved to had seen the SEAL Team blown away by al-Qaeda so as to use it against Obama.
It just really makes them mad that this mission was successful.

Same old blah, blah, blah we always get from the Obama Idolizers whenever "HE" is questioned about anything. I guess it's from the frustration of constantly having to make excuses to justify the inconsistencies.

At least. There was no mention of Zawahri, so he is still at large. We need to get that fucker too.

There are a LOT of asshats we need to take out, but Bin Laden was huge.

Ya, it is huge

This guy has an idea who the Seals should go see next

Do you think Osama was defenseless and slept until shot?

Marc Rush and the others like him will defend bin-Laden only because Obama is in office.
I really wish Bush had got bin-Laden 10 years ago instead of attacking Iraq.
I supported Bush 100% at the start. I wish he kept the course. He did not and now 10 years later Obama made the choice to take bin-Laden dead or alive.

On a brighter note, a new drink has emerge from bin-Laden's death. Two shots and a splash of water.

They are not defending Osama. They are defending Bush. I don’t think they believe Osama was defenseless.

No.
I find it fucked up that your kind are so readily able to defend bin-Laden only because Obama is in charge and not Bush.
I supported Bush at the start. I lost faith when he went the other way and attacked another country claiming they had NBC warfare capabilities that were going to be deployed upon the U.S.

I stand by how I feel.
