Kennedy 0 #3 May 2, 2011 Good. Security theater has gotten out of hand. What better way to address it than political theater?witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Generally, obstruction and assault on an officer will result in your arrest. Resisting that arrest generally leads to officers using force against said obstructor/assaulter/resistor/suspect. Any questions? or can we get back on topic? All those others do not really seem to matter at all to you. It is simple, an officer of the law does not have the right to personal vengeance as payback.. its obvious you and Divet et al seem to beleive they do. MMMMM I guess you guys like TRICKLE and some police state action... its the "conservative" way.As far as invasive ANYTHING by any LEO organization... anything goes.... let em grab your junk its part of the job to keep all of us "safe" or so yall keep tellin those who you style as ..............THEM. Quote It is simple, an officer of the law does not have the right to personal vengeance as payback.. its obvious you and Divet et al seem to beleive they do. MMMMM I guess you guys like TRICKLE and some police state action... its the "conservative" way. Nope. I know damn well that they don't. The problem here is that you aren't capable of dispassionately judging use of force, and seem to think any force by an officer is some sort of fascist vendetta against the world. Take your trickle and shove it, Jeanne. When is the last time you posted without repubiclowns, trickle, or some other sick and sad insult to another poster? And as for the conservative way, I wouldn't know. I'm not that conservative. Maybe you missed the part where I condemned the pat downs as security theater. Or the part where I defend anyone's right to film anyone else in a public place. Or the stupidity of hating all Muslims for terrorism. Etc etc etc. At least I don't support putting people on a "no rights list" without due process, like some of the more authoritarian posters here. Now who was that again...? And for fuck's sake, get it through you're head, I don't work in law enforcement. Your "us and them" police versus citizens nonsense is REALLY pointless when your not talking to the Poe-leece.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
Andy9o8 2 #8 May 2, 2011 Such a law, being a state law, would probably have no legal effect on TSA procedures. The general legal principle is that federal law preempts state law, and therefore state laws cannot preempt procedures authorized by federal law. Put another way, an individual state cannot make TSA crotch-groping illegal. That can be done only by federal law passed by Congress, or by federal courts saying it violates federal law or the US Constitution.
