4/20/2011, sometime after 4:20pm... uhhh, wait sec. Need to check the calendar... Oh, crap! We missed the revolution.

Oh well. Gimme another hit and let's go find some food; I'm starving

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

I live in Houston, and get into the city regularly. Why do you ask?

Wendy P.

Good. Then you know the black population in the inner-city has checked out. Seceded from the union. There's a whole underground society in the cities that has no use for Uncle Sam..except for the 2nd or 3rd day of the month. Commonly known as 'Mother's Day'. That's what 50 years of government handouts gets.

Your assertion that it is only those silly inner city negro's.. but from the usual suspects.. I expect nothing less.

Perhaps you should go look up the rates of welfare in rural red state America... it might just surprise you... but I doubt you will:S:S:S

So I guess, then, that you think that it's inherent in the color, huh :|

Wow. I guess we're really not allowed to have a conversation about inner-city blacks. Show me where I said that inner-city blacks are the majority users of welfare. I stand by what I first said. If you disagree with my statements so be it. And that situation is most definitely the result of almost 50 years of government checks. Liberal policies have laid waste to those areas and the people who live there.

Tracing It. Young blacks started checking out of the workforce in the 1960s when the economy was roaring; the unemployment problem among them barely moved for decades regardless of how the economy was doing. At the exact same time, two things happened. One, rejecting mainstream norms became vibrantly fashionable in young America, and in black America this often translated into a bone-deep wariness of "white" norms. Two, welfare became an open-ended opportunity, led by people actively seeking people to bring onto the rolls. From now on, millions of poor blacks grew up in places where few people worked regularly and even fewer considered this especially unusual.http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5628075

The majority of welfare in the US goes to white, rural people, not the inner city black.

Sure, since 87% of America is white. But what about per capita welfare rates?

Blacks account for 33% of welfare recipients, while comprising only 13% of the population.

What was your point again?

That several from the left were blaming Bush last time gas prices were up and are now silent since Obama is in office.

Fact is that several (including people on here) blamed Bush for the high gas prices and they are now quiet.
