Also, how will you feel when China takes over the World Economy and we are all Hoisted with your own petard?

I don't know, I guess it all depends on their human rights track record.....

But I guess according you, China tops the U.S. in that category.....:S

That will be a very nice bonus for the top 1% that receives 25% of the income and owns 40% of the assets in the USA.

It depends on which pat your'e looking at. In some areas, they do.

I was referring to the "most likely not to run over the general public with a tank" part.....

Or maybe the "search and seizure" part....

Or maybe "political Prisoner of it's citizens" part....

Or maybe the "more than one child if you wish" part...

Or maybe the "promotion based on who your family is in the Government" part.....

Or maybe the "right to protest" part....

I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

I know you would be willing to give up all of the above though for free medical.......:S

Excuse me? Exactly how much more "working smarter" did GWB do? For that matter, how much more "working smarter" did GHWB do?

Both inherited their considerable wealth.

"Working smarter" had absolutely zero to do with their success even if it's the generally accepted mythology of how "the 1 percent" get rich.

I will agree it is "A" way some lucky few might get rich, but not all of the 1% worked smarter to get that way.

The son is fair game, but the father served many roles, including Director of the CIA, that are not awarded because of who your parents are.

well, that's a perfect dodge, since it can't be confirmed or denied.

But just compare him and his son- the difference is rather remarkable. Both should have enjoyed the same benefits of family and secret societies.

that was the point. Yet the outcomes are fairly different.

Bush Sr was a Congressman, an ambassador, envoy to China, head of the CIA, a VP, a President, a successful businessman, chair of the RNC, and an accomplished war veteran. Not to mention one of skydiving's greatest promoters.

His son got governor, and got an easy nomination in 1999's "anything to beat Clinton/Gore" mania, and thanks to Gore's incompetence, did get the Presidency. But now? He's disappeared again, and unlike Nixon, I don't expect him to get to be a well regarded ex President.

They had the same advantages, and Jr. had even more. And yet the outcomes are dramatically far apart. I don't think that's by random chance.

He is already in the top income bracket, 6 figures easy by the way he brags. He just feels guilty but only wants others to give up there's.

Highlighted by a speech by President George W. Bush, the conference brought together national experts, Nobel Laureates, and CEOs ...

What's George doing in a room filled with such qualified people? That's like a eigth grader lecturing foreign policy at the Un or something....

If all those experts were in attendance, they should not have to listen to an idiot like GWB, they could probably figure it out themselves.....

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.

It must really piss you off that so many people pay lots of money to have people like me teaching their children.

Which proves your hypocrisy when it comes to who pays how much in taxes

John, your a good skydiver and a likable person, but I do not agree with your politicle views , and that would greatly bother me if you were teaching them to my children. your job is to teach not instill your views on the children.

Fact is lots of people that you would considered to be smart went to listen to what he has to say.

You may not like him and in fact you may think he is a moron.... but he does have an ivy league education and was President of the US.

May people think that it might be a good idea to at least listen to him before they discount him.

I'd be surprised if Shropshire has either enough money or enough clout to get into an Ivy League school.

They don't guarantee admission, but they can help. Anyone who's been to college knows that at pretty much any college, there are easier and harder classes once you get in.

I'd guess, then, that you think that Obama is even better by Ivy League criteria, since he not only went there, but he made better grades. And he probably didn't have either money or connections to help him get in, either.
