Right....as I said the Obama Justice Department shut them down unless you think the Republicans tell Obama and Holder what to do. They can't even get them to enforce existing immigration laws.

What rubbish. The laws against online gambling were pushed by the right.

Just how successful was Prohibition? And how successful have laws against prostitution been over the past 3,000 years?

While the advent of the Internet has clearly been beneficial to American society, the same cannot be said for Internet-based gambling activity. Internet gambling is too easily accessible to minors, too subject to fraud and criminal misuse, and too evasive of state gambling laws. For these reasons, I have supported legislation aimed at curbing Internet gambling during my tenure in the Senate. For example, in the 108th Congress I co-sponsored the “Internet Gambling Funding Prohibition Act” (S. 627), which was introduced by Senator Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.). Unfortunately, this bill was not signed into law, however, I plan to continue to support limits on Internet gambling should any legislation be considered by the Senate in the 109th Congress.

Again, thank you for your letter. While we do not necessarily agree on the particular topic, I hope that you will continue to write on matters of importance to you. Should you have further questions or comments on this or any other issue, please do not hesitate to contact my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-3841.

Sincerely yours,

Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator

you would be surprised at how professional poker players are actually quite honest about taxes. trust me, they want poker to be seen as a legitimate form of income as any other job. Besides, being honest about it just keeps the wheels greased for when things like this idiocy come along.

Or if they score a big tournament win and suddenly pop up on the radar.

Non-sequitor. I was making a judgement as to the . morality or enforceability. Just pointing out that Obama ignores laws he disafrees with such as immigration laws so, to blame this entirely on Republicans has no merit.

Your ignorance is deplorable.
www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/07/25/AR2010072501790.html

"The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency expects to deport about 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007. The pace of company audits has roughly quadrupled since President George W. Bush's final year in office."

I wouldn't use Bush as a barometer. He was very weak on immigration too.

Your statement "Obama ignores laws he disafrees (sic) with such as immigration laws " was provably untrue.

yeah, they;ve been brainwashed by the religious right...amazing how pervasive it is...getting to even the dems. What's hilarious is if she would have supported the bills to legalize and regulate, the issues she mentions would be less of an issue, since regulation would take care of that shit.

they are idiots.

A federal judge in Louisiana held the Interior Department in contempt late Wednesday, citing the agency for “dismissive conduct” by blocking offshore oil drilling during last year’s Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Judge Martin Feldman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana last summer blocked the Obama administration’s first attempt to place a moratorium on offshore drilling, only to have Interior come back with a second ban.

President Barack Obama is planning to ignore language in the 2011 spending package that would ban several top White House advisory posts.

Clearly he ignores laws he disagrees with.

(1) doesn't sound much like "ignoring" and (2) is just an opinion piece.

And that evasion has exactly what to do with immigration? Given up already on your first falsehood?

Right, ignoring a Federal Judge's ruling on oil leases is just an opinion. He's also stated publicly he plans on ignoring the issue with his Czars.

Give it up. Your defense of Obama is getting pathetic.

Where were you when ShrubCo started torturing people?

Running illegal wiretaps on ALL US citizen's email?

Elimating habeas corpus?

Standing on the sidelines CHEERING, like a well trained Right Wing Conservative, would be my bet.

Funny how RWCs have such a finely developed sense of situational ethics. A Rescum does things, and the list of excuses is endless. A Dem does something, and the howls of outrage are deafening.

Pergaps you could try to grok the meaning of hypocrisy. The Rescums and their RWC followers have it dialed in perfectly.

I feel this way about travel to Cuba.... Why should I not be able to get Cuban Cigars?

I thought I lived in free country?

Interesting note...... Kennedy tried to exempt Cigars, but Tampa, FL manufacturers shot that down. The day before he signed the embargo he ordered his press sec, Pierre Salinger, to get 1,200 Cuban cigars before he signed the order banning importation of them.

So now, if I want a legal Cuban Cigar I have to travel out of the country OR buy one that was in the US prior to the embargo.

Well, it was not intended to be a factual statement.

My information on immigration enforcement is dated. It still doesn't change my point that Obama ignores laws he disagrees with.

Rights. So your facts were wrong, but you still believe what they support because of your political stance. John Kyl has indeed discovered a new GOP tactic - make up facts, then use them to prove your point.

Oh, please, give it a rest. You can't squeeze any more mileage out of your little victory although you will try.You also can't deny what I posted regarding ignoring the Federal Judges ruling on drilling in the Gulf. Clear example of ignoring a law he disagrees with which is what I stated. Which is why you are focusing on immigration. I think you are out of gas on this one. Not that I expect you to ever admit it.

Your partisanship is showing.

I guess you want to believe the 90% story about Mexican guns coming from the US.... So its OK if your party does it.
