Just for clarity, Mormons are very much Christians. I don't know why you'd imply (or outright say) differently. Second, the clip you linked here is NOT from the LDS church as you state. Terrible misinformation here. If you want to see what the LDS (Mormon) church is about, visit mormon.org or lds.org, not some Youtube video that has an ulterior motive and clearly is not from the LDS church.

While Mormons may believe in Jesus, They do not center all their teachings from the OT ant the NT. They have their own books that they teach from and if most Christians discovered what these basic tenants of the LDS were, they would be astounded. I believe if you ask, most Christians would say that salvation can only be achieved by proclaiming that Jesus was born, persecuted and died on the cross for your sins. the Only way to achieve salvation is through Jesus and not some shuckster from up state New York.

Hey, better late than never. The LDS has been much more open, with the glaring exception of gays, than most of the other Christians and its reflected in their missionary success.

As an atheist, how can their minor differences be significant enough to you to believe they're not Christians. They have God, they have Jesus, what more do you need? So what if he was resurrected in America for a while?
