Seems like we should be talking about yesterday's announcement that the US will no longer engage in air exercises. It of course prompted a different group of Senators to complain, lead by "100 Years" McCain.

I like the move - I think the longer we go, the harder it gets to extract ourselves from this civil war.

Agreed. However, if they see a real need to step in and help the rebels, how about first withdrawing a large portion of our forces from Iraq?

Also, why help the Libyan rebels in the first place? Why didn't we help stop the Rwandan massacre and other massacres in other shitholes? Our government's priorities in helping certain peoples are fucked up.
