DiverMike 5 #34 March 25, 2011 Quote I will NOT be a victim ... if I can not find work in the area of my expertise, I will not sit back and whine "where is my government check", I will find some way to re-invent myself. Take responsibility for your future people. Stop being such whinny victims. Whoever told you life would be easy, was clearly lying to you. Your attitude will get you far. I am a software developer who was a 'victim' of the dot.com blowup. I took a job making half of what I was used to, worked hard, and am now well compensated. Cream does rise to the top. People who work hard and refuse to be 'victims' will always do well. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

I used to work for the local university with a research group. They had a sense of humor about "academentia" (that's where I learned the term). Clearly your sense of humor is lacking, completely different from mine or just not revved up this morning. I wasn't name calling, just trying to inject humor. I'll not try when you're involved anymore. damn!-- Rob
