Wisconsin democrats leave state to avoid union vote

Recommended Posts

Follow the money Kennedy..

Try using a few of those supposed brain cells to figure out who has the most to benefit from busting the unions and stealing all the money from THEIR pension funds.
Kallend put forth some of the FACTS about the govenor and his lobbyist buddies including guess who.... have you not asked who is benefitting from this Koch Brothers initiative against unions in so many states???

Look up some historical facts from 1933... ITs a tactic another right wing clown used.

Nah didn't think so..[:/][:/]

When are the stupid muther fuckers in the right wing going to quit handing ALL of the wealth to the very richest few in hopes of that fine tasting trickle they all seem to desire so desparately.

Please Mr Koch will you trickle on my right wing friends a little...

MMMMM TRICKLE MMMMMM the new right wing mantra..

That is way beside the point, if even true.

These are changes that every state is going to have to make.
(Granted, with some various depending on the state)

Just like in NJ... :)
Psst... regardless of your point... WI is BROKE!

But to humor ya...

So, which special interest groups do you speak of?

stealing all the money from THEIR pension funds.

There is no money.

They shouldn't get pensions. :)
And this doesn't affect Firefighters or Police.

Check again.. from a reliable source... follow the money.. the Koch Brothers always have. They want much much more. The public employees just want the little stipends they have worked for based on CONTRACTS.

I guess the right wing does not believe in contracts any more...

Ummm - they do when its a contract for a bank CEO to get a huge severance package despite having to bailed out by the Federal Govt. Contract busting is only for the little people.

Oh, I fully understand the contract issue...

But, why should public employee's get pensions in the first place? That is what I'm asking.

Public employee's work for citizens/private sector... not the other way around.

You really did not say that did you???

WOW just WOW

So lets strip all the Police... Firemen... and the TROOPS pensions and benefits... by your thinking.. they did not earn those either... and they are public employees

:o I sure did!

So, first off. You just lumped our Armed Forces in with State Government employees. Nope sorry... big difference.

AND... this change in WI DOES NOT affect FF or Police.

Again, why should State Government employees get pensions?

Curious.. who has to pay the Wisconsin Natioal Guard and Air Guard

Because it was put into their CONTRACTS as part of an overall benefits package.

So Kallend is right.. only the very rich deserve to have their contracts honored even if they rant the company into near bankruptcy.

Follow the Peterson Foundation money... who do THEY give money to

Typical Bull Shit.

So, the CBO is lying?

Do you deny that years of Social Security surpluses have been used to pay for other Federal Government bills?

Oh and, let me correct myself. We had 1 year... of a budget surplus.

35 years deficit, 5 surplus - with the SS surpluses.

39 years deficit, 1 surplus - without SS surpluses.

You mean how Obama screwed over Chrysler and GM shareholders (breaking those contracts) and giving unfair deals to Unions. Hm... smells like hypocrisy.

Pretty sure that was all Obama... if Bush was part of it too, so be it. I didn't vote for either of them.

Either renegotiate the pensions... or they will get nothing.

Pensions only work for one generation... its a pyramid scheme no different than Social Security.

Police fire and the rest of State Workers should have 401ks no different than the private sector.

Yup glad you noticed

And as far as 401K's... have you checked how much those at the top have ripped off those of us who put TRILLIONS into them and IRA's and the people who you worship up there in that lofty 1% managed to LOOT and steal a great deal of that money... or did you manage to miss the last few times the stock market has crashed... Will you guys ever learn that those you trust to trickle down on you.... pulled out the money and value before anyone else could.. leaving main street holding the bag for the financial ruin.

I lost many many thousands to those thieves.. and you can't even shoot the mutherfuckers....

First and foremost... Fuck You... you're an Idiot.

Secondly... Both 401Ks and IRA's have a wide variety of different options that can significantly vary your level of risk.

CDs and Treasuries... are far safer than being in stocks and mutual funds. If you can't lose money... don't take the risk.

If you had all your money is risky shit... that is YOUR fault. Personal Responsibility. Don't buy something unless you fully understand it.

I didn't lose shit on my investments... I made smart, simple and low risk choices. I didn't want to lose money... I don't like to Gamble. (Except with me life that is - BASE :P)

And the stocks I had, sold them loooong ago. The 13k market... was fake.

I did keep Pepsi though...

Regulation vs. Deregulation is BS.

The issue is captured regulators... (Goldman Sacs being regulated by ex-GS... and of course, the Federal Reserve.)

End the Fed!

Blocked by Nancy Pelosi... interesting.

Oh and... Regulators were warned about Madoff... what happened there? Oh yeah, captured and dumb regulators.

I have something in my mind but I'm not sure if I'm on firm ground with respect to your posts.

Dang it's hard to follow your statements. They are all over the place. I can't tell where you really stand on any of the issues you raised.

Can we go back to the OP and clarify yourself on that, please?
My reality and yours are quite different.

Yup. I'm gonna be blunt and straightforward.

Especially if you are gonna speak to me like that.

I am so tired of this stupid R vs D game crap... Don't throw me into a group and say I am worshiping big bankers, corporations, wall street and all that stupid mess.

So because I want the freest of Free Market possible, and True Capitalism... not Crony Capitalism.

That, makes me worshiping the money powers of the nation? That's bull shit. That's pathetic...

So, back to topic...

If we don't renegotiate pensions... pensions that never should have been granted in the first place... they will get nothing anyways.

Would you rather get, something... or nothing, AND the eventual collapse of the Dollar.

P.S. - The legislators are pathetic too...and any R that has done it, also is pathetic. They have had plenty of time...

We Are Out Of Time...

So you and Kallend DO endorse and condone and encourage this. Correct?

Yes... yes I do... I think you and Kennedy and the rest of the right wing.. should eat far more Wisconsin Cheese.

I think it is a marvelous thing and a major breakthrough. Admitting you support illegal activity is a nice start on your way to recovery.

God Bless.

So, back to topic...

In Canada's largest province (Ontario) 1 in every 13 people who draws breath and has a heart beat (this included senior citizens and children) works for the Ontario Provincial Government with many more people working for the Federal Government and respective Municipal Governments. Each one of these public sector workers demands a job for life (many of them make over 100k a year) and they all demand full pensions. It is simply unsustainable. But with so many of them working for the government is there any wonder why Left leaning political parties are almost always in power.

The motto of these public sector workers here is "I am entitled to my entitlements". They pass this entitlement on to the next generation and make sure that only people who think like themselves are ever hired into these public service sectors.
