Try finding a household that doesn't have a military weapon and multiple people qualified to use it. That's why people have to lob rockets at Israel. You don't dare walk in and start garbage. I would be good with the training they all have to get as part of those RESPONSIBILITIES ... but that is not going to happen in this country. Ummm...the training they get is mandatory military service...but OK. New program: THE AMAZON PLAN! Attend the firearms training course and get a government subsidized firearm for personal defense.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Like I said.. I would be good with that. I was trained how to use weapons properly from a very early age. It seems most families are failing thier children in this area today. It should be a mandatory classes in the schools.

DaVinci 0 #30 February 2, 2011 Very good.... Now, could you explain if you support this proposed law to require people over the age of 21 to buy a handgun? If not, then why is this any different than the Govt requiring citizens to buy HC coverage? Would you support other laws that required people to stop smoking? Stop drinking? Eat more vegetables? I think they are all GOAT FUCK STUPID ideas.... BUT Your RIGHT to smoke better not impinge on my right to breathe. Your RIGHT to own weapons... does not absolve you from using them responsibly. I would be good with EVERYONE being subjected to mandatory training as part of their schooling as children because so many parents are shirking THEIR responsibility to raise their children properly Your RIGHT to eat yourself into a need to shoot yourself up with insulin several times a day should not impinge my right to eat tasty animals myself. And I think your RIGHT to not have to pay for anything is great as long as I can be a cold sumbitch and sit there and watch you bleed out in the gutter and not lift a finger. Fortunately.... I believe that we as a society do NOT want to live that way and watch people die in the streets. I think that portion of the bill was a lame attempt to molify the wrong people. I would OUTLAW insurance companies since theyt have proven their death panels and CEO/executive bonuses do not have the welfare of their payees as a priority. Gravitymaster 0 #32 February 2, 2011 So there we have it. The solution to reducing the number of lunatics killing people with a gun is to make it mandatory that at age 16, all citizens are required to purchase a gun. If they can't afford a gun, we could give then ammo stamps to subsidize those who can't afford them. We will just cite the Equal Protection clause. Then all citizens will recieve firearms training with instructors who are trained to spot those who might go on a rampage.

Responsibility with weapons needs to be taught at a much younger age. Regrettably, you have thus far been unable to avoid the PA's and been unable to discuss anything but the PA's. If you search the threads,,, you will see I ask you a question, you reply with BS. You do not want discusiion in your posts.. you are instead DEMANDING compliance.... are you a LEO??? I am not sure whether I agree with you or not on much of anything; all I get out of your posts is poison. I am sure that is intentional, but what purpose is served by spewing venom escapes me. For the same reason I cannot read much of anything Ann Coulter writes. Everything is couched in such malice that her point (if any) is lost.

davjohns 1 #36 February 2, 2011 OK. I'm on board with the Amazon plan. Some people want to attack the individual right to keep and bear arms because the proposition started out with the part about the need for a well regulated militia. Soooo...we provide the well regulated militia part by having a high school course on basic firearms safety and use. Solves the issues of accidental discharges that people like to complain about. Takes away the novelty so kids don't feel compelled to play with them unsupervised. Helps the military if those kids decide to go that route. And in SD, you get your firearm in the mail once you send in a copy of your completion certificate. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Marksmanship was available to all the students at age 10. We also had archery classes... I was really good at that too. I started shooting at a VERY early age. It was done in the family and was considered a rite of passage to be able to shoot grandaddys 12 guage double barrel shotgun on our 12th birthday.
