doughboyshred 0 #2 January 30, 2011 I find it funny how the rallying cry for conservatives is democracy and freedom. Unless that democracy and freedom results in a government they don't like then they would rather support a dictator. Clarification: I do not support islamic states in any way whatsoever. You obviously do. As for the people in those places, it's usually a choice between capitulation or death, as islam means "submission", but it's always to the guys with the guns. They've also been conditioned through generations to kow-tow to thugs, and not to think and decide for themselves. So they'll bring in the Islamo-fascist thugs, not even thinking about how well that system has worked out for Iran. That (thug-rule, or mobster-kleptocracy [think Saddam]) is the most common government system throughout history, where the few, smart and ruthless lord it over the weak-minded. It's the way the world has always been. Democracy is an aberration,as is civilization itself. "Barbarism is the natural state of mankind." [Robert E. Howard] Given this truth, I see nothing wrong with the USA looking out for #1. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
