Here's an interesting approach to gun rights.

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't interpret it that way in regards to legal requirements because it seems to imply that one is skirting the law.
If the current law does not require a background check if you live in a state that doesn't require one, or already possess a CCW or make a private purchase/sale, then you aren't 'bypassing' any laws. Posting numbers to imply that people are making 30% of the gun sales illegally is sending the wrong message....or at the very least a dishonest one.

Sort of the definition of a bypass. If there's a bypass around a city, it means you're not required to pass through it.

the thing is, his statement was about GOING to one of these 33 states. While the residents of those states are not required to do NICS for a private purchase, that's much less likely to be true for out of state folks.

Generally you must be a state resident to purchase a gun, even via private sale. And absolutely if you return to CA with a gun, you are required to take it to an FFL, do the NICS, wait the 10 days.

Who do you think you are, Emperor of the Universe?

Nope, just a dude that is able to prove you have nothing but hot air and emotionally based opinions.

You throw strawmen when you are unable to back your ramblings with anything factual.

The USA has the highest rate of firearms deaths and injuries of all first world nations. It will continue that way as long as people like you are in denial.

Do you REALLY think allowing untrained people who have not had a background check to carry in bars is a good idea? Really?
...

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

And as long as you continue to be unable to bring any intelligent discourse backed by fact, you will continue to be considered irrelevant.

Until you can show where gun controls like you are proposing have actually worked..... do not expect others to allow their rights to be trampled so you can run experiments that have already been shown to not work.

I find it funny you cried like hell about the ATF regulating your toy rocket motors, but have ZERO issue with the ATF regulating a right that is in the BoR's.

I find it funny that you ask questions, but refuse to answer them.

Or as long as we pursue a war on drugs.

Seems to have worked out fine so far.

I think that so far it has not been shown to be a problem. Why pass a law that restricts a Constitutional right when nothing has been shown to be a problem?

If it becomes a problem, then look at it.

How would you feel if I was able to get a few Senators convinced that model rockets and RC planes are dangerous and should be banned, or at the very least regulated to only being allowed to be flown 300 miles from any major possible target?

It would be a silly law and most likely do nothing but make your life difficult. So *I* would not bother *unless* it became a problem. You however seem to think the sky is falling and are willing to step all over my rights to fix problems that do not exist.

How do I feel about people carrying a gun in a bar? Fine. There are already laws against drinking and carrying. There are already laws about shooting someone.
