blood libel

Way to go, Mike. I see you picked up on that talking point from Mama Grizzly herself.

Actually, no - I'd never visited her page before hitting your link yesterday.

Quote

So now Sarah's actually equating what's happening to her to the murder and torture of Jews due to rumors that they were drinking the blood of Christian children?

For those of you unfamiliar with the term: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_libel

Given how the left is trying to paint her with the blood of innocents, it certainly seems to fit.

Quote

Man, she just keeps digging that hole deeper and deeper, doesn't she?

Dude - even liberal commentators are saying it's bullshit to try to pin it on her. Time to give it up.

And maybe you should see someone about that obsession you have with her.

>they cant . . . she is a threat

Not much of one. She's just lost her favorite rhetorical device. Not even the most brain-dead right winger is going to use the bullseye/crosshair/reload/target analogies on their opponents after this incident.

that is clearly a statement designed to incite retaliatory violence against rep house members

actually it's designed to ESCALATE (as the congresswoman is merely brain damaged, but this incites brain death)

Maybe they can use this.

Oops, my bad. Liberals already used it.

She's not a threat, more like the boogey woman of GOP politics. Spends her life running around with mind/mouth half cocked. The Democrats will love to see her running for President, and will use every opportunity she gives them to associate her with the GOP. Unlike H Clinton, who is also widely disliked, Palin is even more widely unrespected as a light weight mind.

Tasteless. Do you think there should be more or less of this?

I agree, I thought it was tasteless. But some in the Liberal Party of Canada thought it was so funny they posted it on their official party website in December of 2009. We are not talking about some fringe website here. This is an official political party that wants to form government. It's the equivalent of the Republicans or Democrats posting such a picture on their official websites.

So you are asking the wrong person here. Ask the Liberals why they posted it.

Bet the DCCC and DLC continue to do so, and none of you will even peep about it, like now....the same old double standard.

They can get away with it becaue libs are insightful, artfull or making a point

Conservatives do it and it is hate speech

And that concludes the lesson of the day:P

Classier than the blood libel from the Left over the last several days, given that there is exactly ZERO evidence that Loehner was a follower or reader of Palin or the Tea Party.

Hmmm - suddenly that phrase has become popular.
Proof positive that you get your ridiculous ideas from the RW talking heads.

Palin is circling the drain. Just after she claimed that it was absurd that mere talking can be in any way related to violence, she said this:

"When you start to accuse people of having the blood of innocent people on their hands, it incites violence."

So which is it? Can mere rhetoric incite violence or not?

You really do a disservice to your position by writing so poorly. It leads the reader to have a very poor impression of you.
