Because the usual suspects always devolve the discussion to this:

"So is a noodle - if used correctly . . . . Lets have a ban on cars!"

Actually, no...the usual suspects devolve it to bloodthirsty rednecks and/or rivers of blood in the streets.

That's because there will be rivers of blood, and anarchy if the control of guns is not 100% . . . I mean 100% the way they want it.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

Like I said. When we split up the forums, one thing we heard loud and clear from users is that they didn't want to have to deal with the above crap in the main forums. Hence the politics/guns/religion forum.

Are you shooting indoors as you mentioned in your original post? By indoors I take it you mean at home?

I must admit that I hadn't thought of shooting indoors but on rainy days it might be fun.

Indoor shooting is fun. My kids grew up doing that. For a while I shot 22's out in my shop. I built a heavy duty bullet trap. The problem was that my shop wasn't heated. There was also fumes from the gun powder and lead. I decided the shop was far from ideal. Particularly when the temp. was below zero.

Shooting a pellet gun in the house works great. Just don't miss your bullet trap, or hit grandma when she comes walking around a corner....

It's a great way to improve your shooting skills. This new pellet rifle has about the same heft as my hunting rifles. I need to do some trigger work on it, and it should work fine....

I find it hard to classify a pellet gun as a gun -

But hey - defend it all you want -

It all depends on how ascenine you want to be about it.

I'm not very good with big words. Is ascenine kind of like being an ass hole? I don't have a websters handy....I'm just trying to make sense out of your words....:S

Over the years, I've had lots of clients who like to shoot indoors. :)

1) You are a lawyer not a doctor
2) From your statement you "might" be an ambulance chaser
3) I have a pellet gun
4) I am poor
5) I much can you get me if I injure my wife?:o

*Serious note. I assume from your comment injuries are fairly common and not a good idea.

Sure mine was a joke as well except 5 was mean't to read.

5) How much can you get me if I injure my wife?

I didn't even think about the thugs angle - I was trying to figure out how a lawyer got business from indoor shootings.

Can I get a "What about the children?"

I've shot and shot this Beeman, $100., Walmart, airgun. I've come to the conclusion that this rifle is a piece of junk. It is very very inaccurate. I tried both barrels on it. They both shoot like crap. You can get an acceptable group going and it will then start shooting way off. I took the scope off, and tried the open sights. It won't shoot any better that way. In fact the plastic front sight is almost invisible.

I guess you get what you pay for. I hate to lay out $300. bucks or more, for just a pellet gun.

So, my plan now is to use one of my 22's on those pesky gophers and rabbits that are invading my place.

If you know of a good air gun that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, let me know. I may still be interested....

When you break it, pull it right back until it clicks then you will find its cocked,. If you stop before bringing it right the way back then it won't cock. Also some have a safety on them so check for that also.

Your grouping probaly sucks due to the scope mount actually moving backwards on the rail.
Also air rifle will shake the scope so much that cheap 20 dollar scope won't stay zeroed in.
Anyways good or bad rifle, they are not good for anything past 40 meter or so.
Pellet being so light killing anything beyond that will require pure luck.

I suspected that might be the problem. I took the scope off. With open sights it wouldn't group any better. The sights are awful on it, but I don't think that was the big issue with accuracy. Let me know, if you hear of a good pellet gun for a decent price.

I might mention the trigger was awful on the gun too. I guess I'm going to have to lay out some cash if I expect to get a decent pellet gun.....

Buy something with the word Feinwerkbau or Anschutz on it. You'll find the accuracy is fine. But you will spend more than $100. :D

I spent around $1,000 for my daughter's target rifle and $600 for an older spring cocker for myself. They'll put the pellet through the exact same hole all day long.
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.
