dj123 0 #1 December 27, 2010 So the other day I'm walking toward the exit door of a major discount retailer when the "greeter" ( a lady old enough to be my mother) asks to see *my reciept*. This store has security cameras throughout and I doubt there was one moment that I was in the store where my actions weren't recorded. I had been *in-line*, waiting to check out, for what seemed like twenty minutes listening to Janet Napolitano tell me about this stores' partnership with Homeland Security in the spy on your neighbor initiative. I paid for every item in the cart and now this Geriatric Gestapo agent wants to look at "MY" reciept. Do I; 1)simply comply with her request 2) give her a hard time and then give her "my" reciept 3) inform her that the store has a copy and continue to exit If anyone knows how, please convert this to a poll type question. Also, if anyone knows the law, please throw in your opinion on the legal and practical ramifications of not complying with the request. Once outside you can tell them to fuck off. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

Will you like him feeling up your wife ? How about when he puts his finger up your 9 year old daughter? Will you comply? I mean, let's look at the parralells; Since during the Bush administration all e-mails and internet activity have been recorded and compiled in a government data base. All cellphone calls have been recorded and entered in the same data base. Digital cameras have been observing almost your every move after you leave your house. By the time you get to the airport shouldn't they have a pretty good idea that your wife and daughter aren't a threat? Blues, DJ

Trick in cooking frog legs is you put the frog in the pan at very low heat. You turn up the heat slowly so he doesn't realize he's being cooked. Started out with three questions. "Did you pack your bags?" "Have these bags been in your posession since " etc. Now they want to finger your daughter. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.., my ass!!!! You ,skyrider,by your own account sheepishly comply with some retailers demand that you show the paper that prooves you paid for the merchandise you just paid for in full view of that stores' security cameras and guards. Why? What reason do they have to look at your recipt? There is a copy at the cash register. The security cameras saw you check out. What if Wal Mart want's to finger your daughter and feel up your wife? Are you alright with that ? Are you OK with that if the perverts are TSA Homeland Security Agents? Grow a pair ! I'm pretty sure the Founding Fathers were reasonable men and had reason to enumerate the first ten specifically. Maybe you would call them paranoid and it may be that you could not or would not ever consider standing up for your Rights or the Rights of others. Could be that you believe that security trumps Freedom. Could be that you are not very American,or at least you are not "old school American" . Ya see, .., Patriots believe that the Rights of Men trump the paranoia of corporations and the paranoia of governments. Walmart is paranoid that all of us are stealing from them even though their own security surveillence would proove otherwise. The US government wants you to believe that you have forfeited all of your Rights when you purchased a spot on an aqirplane. Really, All of you need to grow a pair!!! You didn't consider the nerves and muscles that will still respond to heat. Of course you are right if you want to eat less than fresh frog legs. Well, Walmart (as well as any other major company) have proven that it is more profitable to set up the security. There's no paranoia on their part. Their end of year reports show over and over again that security pays off. They just have to compare it to losses before and after they implemented it. QuoteThe US government wants you to believe that you have forfeited all of your Rights when you purchased a spot on an aqirplane The U. S. Govt. wants you to obey the Laws regarding flying. These are not rights. You have a privelige to use FAA controlled airspace. You should read the disclaimers when purchasing tickets. It's what you agree to obey when you make a decision to buy it. You, however, have a right to use another source of transportation._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

You enter into a legal agreement with that airline when you purchase the ticket. You have a right to interstate travel, not commercial air travel.
